Missing the strength of that foot in the door

I watched thirteen episodes in one breath last night. The rhythm of this film is still very good, but unfortunately the ending of the last episode was a little worse. I think the screenwriter should have figured out who would be the murderer from the very beginning, and the foreshadowing was buried. The whole thing is reasonable, and in the end, there was no sudden feeling of reversal for the sake of reversal. In fact, I guessed the real murderer when I watched the trailer, because the people who can lay out this situation are really limited.

Aside from some obvious bugs (the mobile phone signal is gone? There is no phone that can be used? And why didn't the sheriff suspect Henry? He obviously knew that this was a child given by his wife), this is the biggest The problem lies in the setting of this ending.

Many people may think that Henry's motives are problematic. If you like it, go after him. You don't have to go to great lengths to kill so many people. I think it's understandable, he has the urge to kill in his blood, and if he doesn't kill them, he also kills so many people in Seattle. In fact, his role before the last episode was his father's accomplice. He used his father's plan to complete his dream of disappearing from the world with his sister and living on the island. So the question is, why did his father kill so many people? It's going to take a lot of work to get revenge on the sheriff. The old lady in the hotel and these passers-by are really bad luck, or maybe this plan was made by Henry, in order to create the illusion that no one survives, all those who stay soft-hearted will die. At that time, it would have been fine if they had left by boat. Sully and others were really unjustly killed.

Personally, I think the biggest problem with this show is that you either take the route of no survivors and go all the way to the end, letting Henry imprison the girl on the island at the end, and the girl screams in despair, or the two die together, and then the screen goes black.
Or leave some more hope, such as letting the Chole pair survive. Is the girl alive with Jimmy? Jimmy isn't dead? Is there a mistake, such a clichéd route. It would be better if only the girl survived alone.
The final confession was actually performed very well, and I was strangely moved. It's a pity that Henry died after standing up for so long, which is really embarrassing.

The beginning is good, but unfortunately the follow-up is not enough... I thought it could show humanity in addition to the massacre, but it didn't... It turned into an extended version of a youth horror drama... It's a pity that the front is so good...

During playback, my eyes and hands were editing the film, and I only listened to it with my ears from beginning to end, and the sound was pretty good. Because I had already guessed the murderer when I read the evaluation, there is no suspense.
