Hong Kong's police and bandit films are really the mark of an era, from movies to TV dramas. In the first ten years of the return, we have seen film shooting, subject selection, and character presentation that are different from the past, with the characteristics of police and gangster films outstanding. This may be closely related to differences in institutional culture.
The film isn't great, but it's still captivating. The film is no longer obsessed with creating undefeated superheroes, but Mr. Jackie Chan's martial arts scenes are still heart-warming. Wu Yanzu's portrayal of bad boys in the film allows us to see the fragile heart under all evil, which is actually worth pondering.
The overall tone of the film is lighthearted, but the thought-provoking plot is still heartwarming and worth watching.
