When I first read it, I thought it was an inspirational story about a dusty girl who adopted several children. It turns out that my brain was fooled by certain routines, and I underestimated the greatest evil that a person can achieve.
The mother lived with her four children, but lied to the public that she was the only one living with her eldest son Ming. In fact, the other three children did not have hukou, and the four children were born to four different men. The mother contacted men again and again, fell in love with different men again and again, and gave birth to children, but because of these children, she could not find a man who could accept her.
They can't go to school, because they don't have a hukou or even go out. These children live in a rented house. Because Ming is the biggest and has a registered permanent residence, he lives between convenience stores and his home every day, taking care of the children's food and drink and taking on the responsibility of a parent.
Later, the mother fell in love with a man again, from not going home gradually to disappearing completely. Although the children were used to it, the money left by the mother gradually ran out.
Faced with a few mouths waiting to be fed at home, I am getting anxious tomorrow, but what can a 12-year-old child do? Even if he tried to work part-time, no one would accept him because he was too young. The ubiquitous web of life makes people feel that there is no way to escape, can't breathe, can't breathe!
to steal? to rob? He was like a worm caught in a web in his growing anxiety.
Tragedy is always inevitable. The youngest sister, Xiaoxue, fell off the stool and can't get up again. Ming used the only coins left to make calls to all the people he could ask for help to no avail.
At the back of the film, he put his sister's body in a box and dragged the box to fulfill his sister's wish - Xiaoxue wanted to see the plane. Of course, Xiaoxue, who closed his eyes, couldn't see the plane again, so Ming found a place to bury his sister.
What impresses me most is that in the midst of all the tragedies, even the anxieties that made him panic, didn't make him panic or cry like a normal child, just a numbness to the point of almost nothing. Expressive face - true desolation will make you lose interest in crying!
At the end of the film, the mother sent money for the last time, asking Ming to take care of the children, while she went to pursue what she called "love".
This is not a "farewell letter", it is just a "normal" expression from a selfish person. Ming's mother said this in the middle of the film: "Can't I pursue my own happiness? Those men are selfish, they don't even support them!"
Seeing this, I really feel that ignorance and ignorance are the greatest ignorance of human beings. At the end of the film, Ming took his younger brother and sister out to beg for food. He stared at the plane flying in the sky in a daze, and seemed to think of Xiaoxue... At this moment, I burst into tears. Who knows what this child has experienced in his heart. We all say that the mud is not stained, how many people who have been hurt can actually do it? Many more people just came out of the silt and fell into the quagmire. The movie did not go on, his future life is a life of three children dependent on each other, I just hope that he can meet some more goodness on the way of growing up, because only enough goodness can resolve the evil this life has left him!
