Episode 3 8/10

Fxxk the princess, I love Bridget

Perhaps the impact of the first episode was too high, and the follow-up was a bit high and low. When Patrick took drugs, he made a lot of trouble, and his property was squandered.

The opening scene comes directly to 8 years later, Patrick no longer abuses drugs, and even quit alcohol. But everyone's appearance doesn't seem to have changed much....

Seeing his own shadow from the Bridget family, Patrick, who got up to comfort the little girl at the dinner party, was really gentle, just like the former Aunt Anne. Unexpectedly, Bridget was still married to the upper class, and did not mix with the group of hippies. But from herself to her mother and daughter, she is looked down on everywhere in this family, and she doesn't know if her husband still loves her... (acted like a fool)

The princess is the most mean existence in this episode, which may also represent the entire aristocratic class. As Patrick said, I have seen this group of people since I was a child, and there is no good thing. I thought Patrick would break out at the dinner, but I didn't expect it was the wife of the French ambassador.

In the last episode, I thought Nicholas was also an old bastard. In this episode, I look at the city, and I can get along with everyone. Maybe I should be called the old fox. It's quite unexpected for Patrick's care, although his mouth is still poisonous

Old George is a little distressing, he is the most obvious one to grow old. I deliberately went through the first two episodes to compare the characters in this episode (but I still forgot who the woman who didn't give Patrick a good look was, there are too many relationships with him...)

Johnny is a real friend (but the relationship between these people is really messed up). The first two episodes took care of him meticulously, and he really did his best. Just didn't expect Johnny to use drugs in the past. It can be said that Patrick is finally coming out. Patrick's apology was also unexpected. He didn't expect this to happen. He was really a good boy inside, and he didn't expect that the waiter would be able to say "I forgive you" at the end. Yes, the unfamiliar waiters can forgive you, why can't you let yourself go

I think there might still be some real affection between these old bastards and the little bastards

In short, it's still a bit bland. After watching so many foreshadowing, the dark and depressing commentary of the original work, and the crazy first episode, I can't help but feel that the development of this episode is a bit cliché, like a black man who sold drugs 8 years ago. It happened to be a musician who came to the banquet performance, this kind of plot always feels a bit old-fashioned

Only one Bridget is too cool. I took my good daughter and simple mother to leave the banquet where this group of people gathered like a dog. 23 years ago, I was waiting for someone to pick me up with my bag. Shake your head and leave. This is the essential difference with Eleanor

Episode 2 8/10

To be honest, it actually showed a lot less impact. After reading the discussion forum, it was confirmed that David really sexually assaulted Patrick.

It's very puzzling, is it just to show power and oppression, not a perverted father to vent his sexual desire, but to use violence for the sake of violence?

I thought it would be long-term domestic violence that would cast a shadow on Patrick

I am also puzzled by Eleanor's performance. I know that there are many cowardly women who are afraid of their husbands, but Eleanor looks very free and easy when he is alone? And obviously David is relying on her property, how dare he make his wife kneel and eat figs on the ground in front of her friends, which is extremely humiliating? The so-called friend who is also a noble is just another bastard, machismo to the extreme

Even the most tragic is the sentence, the only thing that belongs to me here is this car. And can only smoke alone in the car after dinner. Even said "Look, it's not that simple" to Bridget who didn't come back.

In the comment section, it was said that this was due to Eleanor's cowardly and childish character. I want to understand it better. People's personalities are really complicated... so she's not suitable to be a mother at all

For David's eccentricity with his wife's wealth, I also saw this statement - "Why can't I understand this behavior, it seems that we live in the 21st century". Perhaps this was a common problem among upper-class men in England at that time. And is it also popular for American women to marry British aristocrats?

Anne is the only person whose thinking is normal and modern, and I admire her performance in the play

Anyway, Patrick is too miserable to have such parents

Episode 1 10/10

The first 5 minutes: It's okay, the male lead looks quite normal.

10 minutes later: OK...high-purity junkie

Quye's acting skills are impeccable... With editing, post-production, and music, the drug addiction shown is really impactful

The flashing childhood memories, hatred, revenge, and mixed emotions for my father have reached the point of madness
