I've always wanted to watch Persuasion. I thought about it for a few semesters. But this book is only available in this department. I'm too lazy to go there.
So just before I read the book, I watched the movie.
I like the title. Maybe someday I'll be embarrassed by such exaggeration. I hope someone comes to my rescue then. forget it.
When I saw the French teacher, I liked her. In another way, I like myself. Because I think there was a time when I was so much like her.
At some point, she was seduced by her students.
If I had read that book, I would have stayed away like her. Then everything is not the way it is now.
Will I?
I do not know.
I'm not good at learning subjunctive mood. I will only experience it myself and then tell you.

The Jane Austen Book Club quotes

  • Sylvia Avila: Look, I adore Jocelyn, but . . . ah ha, if, "Loving is letting go," then whoever wants Jocelyn is going to have to pry her fingers loose, one by one.

  • Editor: Dear Ms. Corrine Mahern, we regret that we must decline to publish the three short stories you sent to us. 'Benny's Basketball' is strong narratively, but the depiction of your penis-waving retarded boy felt a little unkind. And isn't the title 'Separating Eggs For Flan' a bit obvious as a metaphor for your parents' divorce? Yet we confess that 'Skydiver' puzzled us most. Why would a beautiful, self-centered young lesbian jump out of a plane?
