Probably last summer, I watched it twice, but I didn't finish it. Maybe I was in a bad mood during that time to continue.
I like the name of the movie and I know it's a movie that will influence people to live with courage and enthusiasm.
I see someone say: When the movie is only used as a tool to tell the truth, it loses its taste.
It seems to make sense, but in fact this movie is necessary, although such a thing is more ridiculous.
But in fact, many things in reality are much more absurd than the stories in novels and movies. Don't be surprised by anything.
I want to retell this story.
A man, Buddy, wanted to commit suicide and felt so desperate that there was no way to live.
He planned to drink sleeping pills and then lie down in a hole dug beforehand, so that someone would bury him the next day.
He drove and looked around on the road, looking for the man who buried him. He will give that person a large sum of money as a reward.
He hoped that the next day the man would call his name twice, pull him up if he agreed, or bury him if he didn't.
The first to get into the car was a young soldier, who said he could fill the pit with soil, but he couldn't put soil on top of people's heads.
The second is a seminary student. He said that suicide is wrong. God has given a body to man, and man cannot let it suffer.
He said that when a person feels that he can't hold on any longer, can't bear it any longer, and can't wait for God to do something, he can commit suicide.
He said that the word suicide is not just a decoration in the dictionary, it has to be applied in practice, and now it is an application.
He decided to get out of his life. As for why, it wouldn't help understanding, and he didn't want to talk about it.
He said: You won't understand, not because you can't understand, but you can't feel how I feel.
But the seminary student rejected him, arguing that suicide was a sin.
And Buddy believes that unhappiness is also a serious sin. When you are unhappy, it hurts other people too.
The third was an old man who told him about his experience.
He said that he had just gotten married at that time, and a lot had happened, and I thought I had had enough.
So he decided to end it all. He came to a tree and threw the rope up the tree, but it couldn't hang up.
He was very angry, so he took the rope and climbed up the tree, and tied the rope tightly to the trunk.
Then he found cherries, ate one, and it was full of water, followed by a second, and a third.
Then it was dawn, and he saw the beautiful sun, the trees, and the children on their way to school.
He became very happy, so he brought home some cherries, and his wife, still sleeping, woke up and ate the cherries.
He said he was happy, went out with suicidal thoughts, and came home with a cherry that saved his life.
Buddy asks: You ate cherries, and then your wife ate cherries, and everything turned out great?
He said: No, it's not what you said, but I've changed. Later, the situation gradually improved.
But the fact is that I changed my opinion, so I feel better than before.
The world is not what you think it is, and if you change your mind, the world will change for you.
Death is also a solution, but it's not the primary one, and it shouldn't happen when you're young.
He said, have you ever looked up at the sky in the morning, have you seen the moon and stars? You don't want to see the full moon again?
He asked: You want to reject everything, you want to give up everything? Are you going to refuse to taste the taste of cherries?
He asked him to think about it, and if he persisted the next day, he would help him realize his wish.
Later, Buddy saw a flock of birds flying across the sky, and a plane flying in the blue sky.
He also saw energetic students running, green lawns, blooming flowers, and a beautiful sunset slowly setting.
Before that, except for loess, dust, loess and dust, there was no blue sky, no green grass and no flowers.
But those beautiful things have always existed, but he didn't see them.
He had met a man before and he said there was nothing but dust and dirt here.
The man asked him if he didn't think dirt was a good thing? Earth, he said, bestows all good things on us.
The man said, According to what you say, all good things will return to dust.
In fact, that place is really disappointing. I think, living in such a place, after a long time, I really want to die.
Let dust be dust. In times of real despair, death can be a very good relief.
In fact, for those who are in trouble, even if they change their mindset and change their views, it will not help very much.
The things that keep them trapped are still there, and no matter how you look at them, they're going to get in your way and hurt you.
Only when the environment has changed and things have changed, can things really change and get out of the predicament.
But such good things often don't happen, so mentality is important. If you think about it from another angle, you may suddenly become enlightened.
In fact, this is nothing more than a self-deceitful consolation. Maybe it's too cheesy to think so, but it's the truth.
The reality is often extremely helpless, it will just make you stuck and unable to move.
A long time ago, like Buddy, I said: Even if you can understand my thoughts, you can't understand my mood.
Perhaps only by changing your mentality, actively doing what you want to do, and working hard to change the status quo, can you really make yourself happy.
That night, Buddy still drove to the pit and lay in it.
He saw a sky full of dark clouds. In the gap between the dark clouds, there was a light blue sky, and the moon walked through the clouds.
Black clouds, blue sky, silver moon, very beautiful. It was the moon that galloped away, or his mood.
Just as he didn't explain how the old man got in the car or why Buddy was desperate, there was no next day.
Buddy was looking for the dead, looking for the man who buried him, but what he was actually looking for was hope, or in the end he found hope.
I know it's a good story, but it doesn't really touch me that much.
Because, maybe I'm desperate, but I'm the kind of person who will encounter beauty in despair, those who don't care about moving.
People tend to be moved by what they don't understand and what they lack. And I'm no stranger to the old man in the movie.
That's how I've always lived, people who have lived on illusory things that most people think are trivial.
Those beautiful and useless things, fleeting, hopeless love and the like.
As long as it can last. Like the taste of cherries, it can't wrap the belly, but the taste is wonderful.
