My "Cherry Taste"

Abbas' "The Taste of Cherries" was inspired by a short story:

A legend of a man being chased by a lion. To escape, he was forced to jump off a cliff, but was caught by a rhizome on the mountainside. He finds himself between the huge mountain stream below and the ferocious beasts chasing him. That's when he noticed that two rats—one white, one black—the black one— were nibbling at the roots of the plants he was hanging from. In this worrying situation, he saw a strawberry growing on the mountainside, and in that terrifying situation, full of danger and uncertainty, he reached out to pick the strawberry and ate it.

"The Taste of Cherry" is a standard movie with no standard interpretation, and any interpretation of it is correct. But just looking at other people's interpretations is the only thing that doesn't make any sense.

Simply put, "The Taste of Cherry" full version = "The Taste of Cherry" + your understanding.

Before you start creating your own full version, just get to know the poetry of Abbas - leave blank. He shoots only the frame of a story, giving the audience a platform to imagine. And when the audience has seen it, each person's interpretation and the film itself constitute a complete work.

Specifically in "The Taste of Cherry", he didn't even explain the cause and effect of the story:

1. Why does the hero seek death?

2. Did the hero finally die?

So I decided to create my own full version of "The Taste of Cherry" and give this story without cause and effect, a cause and effect without cause and effect.

In my version, the hero's fear of death stems from the unknown after death, but the disgust for the known tomorrow has surpassed the fear of the unknown of death, and if this day can see the end There, something unknown really happened, that made him even more frightened.

In addition, although death is irreversible, the spirit of "one period, one meeting" also tells him that the food you eat at this moment can never be eaten again for a lifetime. On the positive side, it needs to be cherished, but on the negative side, it is full of death force. Like when reading these few words, your last second is dead.

Well, since he has time today, he decided to die. For no particular reason, like I'm going to lick my lips right now, it's a knee-jerk action. There is no expectation, if you can die, you will die, you can't die next time. At the same time, he is also full of confidence, after all, it is much easier to die than to live. You can live, but are you afraid of dying?

After several conversations, he couldn't find anyone who was clearly willing to help him, but he still decided to lie in the pit and try.

So sleepy, about to fall asleep...

The pills I just took were sweet, like grapes.

Well... the air is sweet too.

The darkness turned, what a wonderful experience.

will i die?

Don't know, but the last second was dead.

Even if you are going to die next second, you must live well this second.

I only exist in this moment, I can only feel this moment, then feel this moment.

  • Mr. Bagheri: When you want to help someone, you have to do it properly, with all your heart. It's better... more just and more reasonable.
