"The Bicycle Boy" tells not a story, but a fact.
Just like samantha, for some unknown reason, agreed to Cyril's request and took in Cyril every weekend. samantha and help cyril to find the father who has no responsibility, finally the father finally told cyril to his face that he would not want to get him back. When cyril and samantha were on their way back, cyril was crying and hurting herself masochistically, and samantha hugged him tightly. This angry and injured little beast gradually calmed down.
At this point, the story seems to be heading towards Happy Ending, but the reality is sometimes so absurd and real.
In life, cyrill would yell at samantha, lie to samantha, play with gangsters wes, and even stab samantha in the arm, and he got into trouble.
When cyril ran away from the house, samantha covered her mouth and cried. For Cyril, who is not related by blood, she broke up with her boyfriend and became a single mother. Inexplicably, there are many more burdens and troubles in life, and Cyril is not a trouble-free child at all, and now he stabs himself. This happens in many foster families. Many people, including adoptive parents, feel that they have adopted this child with kindness. Why does the child not know how to be grateful, hurt people who are good to him, and be so rebellious? Do you want to send him back? Troubles like this, I believe many foster families will exist.
After all, this is a society that advocates beauty. After Cyril got into trouble, he wanted to give the money to his father, so that his father might be able to pick him up. But this irresponsible father rejected his son and drove him away. When Cyril rode his bike back to Samantha's barbershop, he finally knew how to apologize for his actions.
Towards the end of the film, samantha and cyril are riding their bikes down the road by the river. I have to say, although I guessed that there would be such a scene [the cover is it ╮(╯▽╰)╭], but when I saw it, I couldn't help but feel very warm and laughed silly.
The story is not over yet, and the subsequent disputes are nothing more than a perfect ending for the little boy Cyril's change, so I won't go into details here.
In just 87 minutes, it reminds people of a much longer-term problem.
Problems can be many and take various forms.
But the solution is much the same: genuine care and love.
It's not about giving rich material things, but whether you can give him spiritual nourishment from the bottom of your heart.
