Can't think of a unified theme. I read a few film reviews about the bondage of maternal love, balance and the like.
Anyway, I quite like watching this kind of magical foreign fairy tales. When I was a child, I was very impressed by the story of a Rapunzel, as well as Grimm's fairy tales and Hough's fairy tales. Pan's labyrinth in the movie is also very beautiful, and the little girl feels so nervous when she escapes.
The scene where the king went to kill the sea monster at the beginning of this film was very appealing to me. Huge, bizarre creatures, but the characters don't find it bizarre, as if it were real in their time. This feeling is very special.
The Little Mermaid used her voice to change her dressing and turned her tail into legs. In fairy tales anything is possible.
The scene where the old woman turns into a child in the second story is also amazing. I think she not only became younger but also beautiful.
In the third story, compared to the part where the daughter runs away and kills the giant. The fact that my father kept fleas made me sick and want to watch it even more. And it also peeled off the skin of the fleas for everyone to guess, which is really a fairy tale. And it's always the worst guess. So dramatic.
A new version of the story of Beauty and the Beast. Last year or the year before, I only saw the French version, played by Lea Duce. Everyone loves fantasy stories.
