No matter how hard you try, it's all in vain

"Variety Tanuki", also known as "Heisei Tanuki", is a work by Hayao Miyazaki in 1994. The story takes a group of civet cats as the protagonists, and tells the story of their desperate efforts and various means for their own homes, trying to maintain their own living environment and their own homes.

In fact, without looking at the results, I knew that they must have failed. Humans want to develop mountains and forests, build houses and factories for themselves, how can they be interrupted by small setbacks? No matter how hard they try, it will be in vain. But looking at their joyful expectations again and again, their efforts again and again, their small successes again and again, their triumphs again and again, their failures again and again, until they reach a desperate situation, when there is really no way, they still maintain their innocence. and happiness-seeking nature. Sad and helpless.

In fact, the story does not use a very serious tone to educate people on how to protect the environment, nor does it make the civet cats complain of bitterness and hatred, and it makes you foolishly laugh with them, and then cry again. . . I have to compromise with reality and live a life that only human beings can endure. This is the sentence, "a life that human beings can endure." Why is it so tiring?

Maybe more people will remember that when they finally had to say goodbye to their hometown, the last technique of change turned everything into the previous appearance and the previous hometown. Not for anything else, just play, play.

What impressed me the most was that when the civet cat who went out to find help came back a few years later, he cried bitterly when facing the high-rise buildings: "It's us who will change, how can they do it? How can it be like this?" Yes! How can this happen? It is obvious that civet cats can change and can do magic, but humans can't do anything, but in just three years, humans have completely turned mountains and forests into cities and trees into tall buildings... Why? No matter what. This story, just this sentence: the actual things done, accumulated slowly, may really be more useful than the miracles conjured up in an instant.

Random thoughts, this story is that the living space of civet cats is getting smaller and smaller, causing them to face such a result. Will there be a day when the number of human beings will reach an unbearable level. So what should we do? It may be hard to find even a place where we can change! Is it unfounded? Possibly

(I found myself seriously deviating from the topic as always, haha, fortunately there is no language teacher to rate me)

At the end, the theme of the story for me is not the issue of environmental protection, but that so many civet cats survive in a human state and realize how hard it is for human beings to survive.

Parade comparison: civet cats and red peppers, the winner-regardless of the outcome
