No blood, what day is it in summer?

There was a lunar eclipse last night, but it rained all night, and I didn't see the moon, nor the bright moonlight that was gradually dissipating. I feel that on such a night, a group of people should be camping in the wild, telling ghost stories and fantasizing whether they will encounter a transformed werewolf. But fantasy is always domineering, and life is calm, so in such a hot and restless season, there are still many words that can't be said, and sometimes I feel like it is about to explode.
Fortunately, there are always some escape channels, even if you can't go very far, a temporary departure will refresh your life. If you have been in the filth for too long, you still have to try to raise your head to look up at the stars. Even if you can't see the stars, you can make yourself stand up straight. So I watched "Summer Wars" on the weekend night. The name was very bloody, and the plot was very bloody. It seemed that I was back in the student days of "Slam Dunk" by the whole people, and the whole person burned from the inside out.
The story of "Summer Wars" starts from returning home. I like this beginning. Summer should be summer vacation, travel, ice watermelon, and family time. "Summer Wars" is a lot like my beloved "Never Stop" at times, watching the kids laugh in the yard as they eat watermelons that have been frozen in well water; watching the elders for the upcoming big family Party and busy preparing food, slicing sashimi, frying tempura, will feel that life is still very good.
It's a very Japanese movie, and every setting exudes a strong sense of fusang, and the attention to detail is awe-inspiring. The moths parked on the lamp and the bamboo sticks stuck in the flowerpot to allow the vines to climb all reveal a deep sense of Zen. The strong family atmosphere and leisurely pace of life exuded in the film can not help but remind people of Ozu. The humanistic care flowing out of an animated feature film is moving. There is one part of the play that I like very much. Someone said a very philosophical sentence in the confusion. When everyone exclaimed, he said that it was actually a line from "Seven Samurai". Maybe this is just a trivial detail, but I see the inheritance, and I see the little wisdom shining.
However, what makes people burn the most is the simplest and most precious things. It still makes people foolishly believe and boil when justice overthrows evil and saves all mankind. In such a midsummer, I am still willing to choose the good ones, and always believe that they are still the majority.

Summer Wars quotes

  • Sakae Jinnouchi: [a letter in an envelope reading: To the family - read when the time comes, from passed away granny Sakae Jinnouchi, read in her voice] To my family. // First, take yourselves a deep breath. Crying and carrying on doesn't help anything. Make my funeral arrangement a simple affair, just our close friends, and then go back to your day-to-day lives. I don't have anything to leave you in a way of an inheritance. That said, I'm sure my old acquaintances will keep an eye on Jin'nôchi family. No need to worry, my dears. You've always been hard workers, and I know you'll keep it up. And grant me this. If Wabisuke should ever make his way back home... He's been gone ten years and counting now, so who's to say if that day will ever come... But if he does, I'm sure he'll be hungry. He never took proper care of himself and probably weren't even eating right. So, let him have as many vegetables from the fields as he wants. And the grapes and peaches, too, he always loved those the best. I remember the day we first met. Even now it's clear as a bell, his little ears look just like my husband's. Definitely, his father's son. We walked through the field of morning glories and I told him he would be our child from that day forward. He didn't say a single word, but his hand wrapped all the tighter around my finger. I was so happy to be giving him the family he needed. I like to think he could feel the happiness radiating off of me. Never turn your back on family, even when they hurt you. Never let life get the better of you. And if you remember nothing else, remember to find time to eat together as a family, even when times are rough; especially when times are rough. There's no lack of painful things in this world, but hunger and loneliness must surely be two of the worst. Thanks to you, my precious family, I didn't know a moment of either of those the last ninety years. // Love you all. Good bye.

  • Ri'ichi Jin'nôchi: ...You have to protect others in order to protect yourself.

Tasuke Jin'nôchi: At the Self-Defence Force motto?

Ri'ichi Jin'nôchi: Not exactly. I just lifted it from Seven Samurai.
