self-deprecating life

This movie is actually just asking a question, an ultimate question.
Do we have the right to end our own lives?
Is ending life a good way for those living in pain? Perhaps for this, most people will agree. The problem, then, is this limit. What is the standard of pain? Human suffering is so much more than physical, when you think about people who are confused about family, society, morals, spirituality, aren't they painful enough? Those who are struggling at the bottom, those who are like corpses at the top, are they not suffering? Our standards are the foundation of morality, but now it is morality to be questioned!
What does morality bring to human beings? Faced with such a question, we thought we could respond arrogantly.
I may be an agnostic, a skeptic, a mystic, but isn't this definition - this infinite definition of truth in terms of human finitude - the greatest self-deprecation! All we can do is deceive ourselves and say it's right, that's it, accept it.
The recent situation in Libya has expanded the dirty face of the world for people to see. We are wearing moral masks, shouting slogans, moving toward the truth, goodness and beauty, but we are holding on to stubborn things in our hands!
What is morality? It's just an agreement we made ourselves! ! ! Don't think that's the truth, that's what it should be. Without morality, our prospects may be confused, but our hearts may be stable.
The shame of the fanatics is because they have moral escorts, they merge into a boiling river, a river that flows against it!
So what's left? Belief.
Those religions are deceitful, but perhaps the best way to escape is to plunge into this deception. Because you are ignorant!
Compared with death, perhaps what people fear most is life.
Living life, living life!
Life is dark humor, very heavy, but I have to laugh on purpose. Ego and self-deprecation are the whole show.
I once faced life and got the following experience:
"Tear the temperature apart, let the night slowly seep into every inch of your skin, torture your heart with this infinite fear, and swallow all the sounds arrogantly without leaving any echoes. Everything is shrinking or disappearing, and in the end there is only one point left, connecting the infinite point inside and outside, like a gatekeeper on the spiritual path, condensing all oppositions into this structure. The direction is eliminated here, or there is only one It has been a long time since suffocation, and maybe the boundaries are blurred into one piece. If there is still interweaving, then only the past and future are intertwined here. At this time, it is heavy and cannot be moved, but it is so ethereal that it is suspended in this In a pure vacuum. Vision is a great insult, thinking that you can see yourself. The only way to get it is to understand, but in the face of such grandeur, there is only deep powerlessness. In the end, I have to bury myself in it and wait for disillusionment."
Self-deprecating, still going on...

Papa's performance is beyond words! In fact, every time I watch the characters created by Lao Pa, they are too sharp, but this one is really just right! The final verdict is very pertinent!

You Don't Know Jack quotes

  • Jack Kevorkian: It's emotionalism. You know, when heart transplants first started... there was the same prevalent feeling, I mean, even among doctors... that it was wrong, it was contrary to God's will, contrary to nature. Isn't it ghoulish to rip a person's chest open and take out a heart? Or a bypass operation? Ether is the same thing. You have ether, been around for centuries, it wasn't used. Not till 1846. It was discovered in 1543... and before that, everybody was being operated on while they were awake. Surgeons were cutting them open while they were awake. Did you know that, Geoff?

    Geoffery Fieger: No.

Jack Kevorkian: On, yes. And you know why it was banned? Because of religious dogma. Because of the foolish notion... that there's a God Almighty who wills us to suffer.

  • Judge Cooper: You invited yourself here to make a final stand.

Judge Cooper: You invited yourself to the wrong forum.

Judge Cooper: Our nation tolerates differences of opinions, because we have a civilized and non-violent way of resolving our conflicts.

Judge Cooper: We have the means and methods to protest laws with which we disagree.

Judge Cooper: You can criticize the law, lecture about the law, speak to the media or petition voters.

Judge Cooper: But you must always stay within the limits provided by the law. You may not break the law, or take the law into your own hands.

Judge Cooper: No one's unmindful of the controversy and emotion that exists over end-of-life issues and pain control.

Judge Cooper: I assume the debate will continue in a calm and reasoned forum long after this trial and your activities have faded from the public memory.

Judge Cooper: But this trial was not about that controversy.

Judge Cooper: This trial was about you, sir.

Judge Cooper: You've ignored and challenged the legislature and the supreme court.

Judge Cooper: Moreover, you've defied your own medical profession.

Judge Cooper: This trial was about lawlessness, about your disregard for a society that exists and flourishes because of the strength of our legal system.

Judge Cooper: No one is above the law.

Judge Cooper: You had the audacity to go on national television, show the world what you did, and dare the legal system to stop you.

Judge Cooper: You publicly and repeatedly announced your intentions to disregard the laws of Michigan.

Judge Cooper: Because of this, I am imposing the maximum sentence of 10 to 25 years.

Judge Cooper: You may now, sir, consider yourself stopped.
