after watching

When I watched this film, I confused it with another film. I thought I was watching an adaptation of Proust's famous book. Although the platform pushed the film before, it always showed that I had no permission and couldn't watch it. But always unwilling, keep trying. I tried it again this time, and I can actually watch it, and I am still very happy. However, looking at it, I feel that this should not be the work that claims to be a stream of consciousness. In the end, I checked it after reading it, and it turned out to be a mistake, and I still couldn't watch the movie.

The 1980 film, looking at the quality of the picture, has a sense of age. Telling a story of time travel, the content is not complicated. However, there is one thing that is amazing. It has one thing in common with the previous film "Titanic" I just watched. The stories all happened in 1912. They are all about love stories from later points to the past. Another point is the same, the ending is tragic, the shipwreck and death, love but can not stay together. I also think of the regrets I had when I was young, and I want to go back to the past and restore the loss and helplessness.

Let’s go back to reality and cherish the moment.

Somewhere in Time quotes

  • Richard Collier: This is not for a play, Miss Roberts. This is something very personal.

    [shows her the pocketwatch]

Laura Roberts: Where did you get that?

Richard Collier: Well, she gave it to me, ma'am. At the opening of a play I wrote eight years ago at Millfield College.

Laura Roberts: That watch was very precious to her. She never- never left it out of her possession. It disappeared the night she died.

Richard Collier: She died that night?

  • [repeated line]

Richard Collier: See you around, Arthur.
