Back in time seventy years

I watched this movie not long ago. The ending of the movie is actually that the people who love each other are separated, but the director arranged for them to finally reunite in heaven. Maybe just to soothe the hearts of the audience. But a movie is a movie after all, it's over, the lights are on, and it's gone. Everything should be as it should be. The happy ending can't change the helplessness in real life. Facing others and facing themselves, ordinary people also want to learn to cherish and learn to own. But in the end, everything turned out to be a forced smile. The movie has given us a beautiful story, the process of the story is very romantic, the ending may not matter.

Somewhere in Time quotes

  • Richard Collier: Please, don't leave. You have no idea how far I've come to be with you.

  • Richard Collier: Arthur, you know in the Hall of History, there's a photograph, a young woman. There's no nameplate.

Arthur Biehl: Yes, that's Elise McKenna. She was a famous actress in her day. Starred in a play in the hotel theater.

Richard Collier: I-I'm sorry. Did you say there was a theater here?

Arthur Biehl: Yes. Down by the lake.

Richard Collier: Really? When was this play done?

    Arthur Biehl: 1912.
