Relive old dreams...

It's not that it's so charismatically engaging; how beautiful the camera is; or how emotionally charged the plot is. It can even be said that its narration is a bit monotonous; the plot lacks more ups and downs; the emotions are also unfinished... After all, it is a film from the 1980s, and I can't ask for too much, hehe.

But the ending was too unexpected for me -

some people gave their feelings and spent their whole lives waiting and remembering; some people gave their lives and used their lives to relive their old dreams... It's still very touching.

I especially like the episode in it. I think this song is even more attractive than the movie itself. I heard it from a young age, and it took so many years to really watch this movie, and then I realized it was its episode! Ha ha

The hero and the heroine are charming, but the argument about traveling through time and space is extremely nonsense-is his "traveling" a dream or reality? If the old lady didn't find him, would he not be able to go back in time? That is, at the moment before he goes back, does history exist? Did he change history after he appeared out of thin air? But this shows that he will not survive that year no matter what

What a mess! The story is protracted, the plots are vulgar, the thinking is blocked, and the logic is unclear, and it is still regarded as a classic. Is this shallow and unfounded feeling unforgettable just because the time span is artificially elongated? This is too bullshit

Somewhere in Time quotes

  • Richard Collier: I owe you an apology. I understand you now. You have nothing but the best motives in mind for her, but so do I.

  • Elise McKenna: There is so much to say... I cannot find the words. Except for these: 'I love you.'
