The discussion is still about one nation and two countries. I have to say that this friendship is really touching. Just like "Mogadishu", because of our position, although we are good friends, we cannot be bold. Show the friendship for each other.
What I want to say most is the ending of the film, which is known as "one of the top ten classic endings of Korean movies".
A whole photo is drawn out bit by bit, and the relationship between characters is shown bit by bit by panning the camera. The people of the two camps are humorously covered in a black and white photo, as if everything was as good as it was at the beginning.
The saddest thing for me is that when this friendship was discovered, both parties had to act like hatred, and then they could only rely on each other to make up a reason for the other party to explain why the two opposing camps could sit together.
Director Park Chan-wook uses flashbacks to show the story of the story. For example, the famous scene where the two protagonists spit at each other across the dividing line also highlights their private friendship, which is abrupt under the tense political confrontation.
The film uses such an indescribable story to promote the theme of anti-war and peace. I have to admit that if it weren't for war, maybe many people could be good friends.
