First time watching a South African movie

I don't think it's a geographical issue, but their work is really good.
In fact, the plots of many classic European and American movies are also very simple, and the content expressed in the film is such a positive and ordinary truth or problem. But they did it, and they did it very well, and then the movie was excellent.
I remember watching an Iranian movie before, which was about a boy. Can't remember the name, he and his sister share a pair of shoes (Iran's national conditions seem to be like this, boys' and girls' schools have different classes), but he lost his writing. So I want to get another pair of shoes for my sister, by participating in the sports meeting. The second place is a pair of sneakers, the first place is a sports suit, he must and can only get the second place. However, in the end he was number one, so he was very disappointed.
I remember that when I watched that movie, I was still studying in the university, and it felt very good.
In fact, good movies are not divided into regions.
However, the Chinese name of the film is indeed not very well translated. "Gangster thugs", is that called a gangster? How can it be called a thug? Translation is not perfect

I like the way the film handles light and shadow

The protagonist played very well, and it really touched me in the end.
