Game of Thrones is a medieval epic fantasy television series based on the seven-part fantasy novel A Song of Ice and Fire by American author George R.R. Martin.
The fictional world in the background of the story is divided into two continents: Westeros, the "sunset country" in the west; and a similar Eurasian continent in the east. The discovery of creatures that have long since been extinct in ancient legends began at the border of Westeros, and the danger was gradually approaching here.
