The semi-finished saint-Vincent

The first impression this film gave me was not good. I didn't understand the words Vincent said at the beginning.
Maybe it's a joke, maybe it's a short and thought-provoking story.
I know every word in the Chinese subtitles translated from this passage, but when combined, this passage gives me the general feeling that it is a wordless book written specifically for Americans.
I began to arbitrarily think that this may be an ordinary movie played for ordinary Americans, and I, an ordinary Chinese, cannot understand the meaning.
Should I change the film to write a film review?
With this thought, I continued to watch.
However, the quality of the film soon made me immersed in it. Whether it was a relaxed and humorous narrative style, a variety of soundtracks, or the superb acting skills of the actors, and the familiar use of various editing techniques, I began to immerse me. The story.
The plot of the film is not complicated, the plot is warm, and the warm story is mixed with some revelations of the social status quo.
The story tells the story of the semi-finished saint-veteran Vincent.
At the beginning of the story, we saw Vincent as an unflattering person. He has many shortcomings, such as smoking, alcoholism, and gambling; Call girls to indulge in joy together.
Almost no one came to get along with him, except his cat and the little angel he met-Oliver.
When the story came to the end, Oliver collected Vincent's information and gave a saint speech, we learned that Vincent actually has the qualities that a saint should have.
He was brave, not afraid of sacrifice, and stepped forward. He joined the army and made contributions on the battlefield in Vietnam. He desperately rescued two comrades in danger on the battlefield, and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal.
People in the bar still remember Vincent's heroic appearance.
He insisted, never changed, never gave up. His wife was seriously ill for eight years, and his memory was misplaced. He had long since recognized Vincent, but Vincent insisted on visiting his wife every week and was determined, even though the bank loan was already serious. Overspending, he was in debt, but he resisted, giving his wife the most expensive nursing home.
After being euphemistically informed by the nursing home to transfer, the sentence "I want to give my Sandy the best!" explains everything.
Vincent is actually just a generation in an era.
The vulgar and poor environment gave him the shell of vulgar poverty, and his tough and fearless character gave him stubbornness and courage, but his vague kindness hidden deep in his bones still told us that he is also a saint.
In fact, the most in the world are semi-finished products, no one is perfect, no gold is pure.
People always have so many shortcomings, and Vincent has the characteristics of becoming a saint, but under many conditions, he will only be a semi-finished saint.
And the saints in the epic are roughly half-finished saints that follow the trend under the general trend, but the reason why they can become complete saints is also because we can ignore some shortcomings that are irrelevant to the overall situation in the long river of history.
To quote an improper sentence: Although I smoke, drink, fight, gamble, and have a bad temper, I am a good girl.
Maybe in the future these are no longer the shortcomings that people pay attention to, then Vincent may be able to transform from a semi-finished saint into a real saint, maybe...
