"The Journey of Autism", a wonderful inspirational film. Based on the autobiography of Temple Grandin, a famous autistic patient, the film stars Claire Dennis as the protagonist of the biography, telling her unique upbringing. Claire Dennis's acting skills just exploded, it took so much effort to play it so realistically. Although Temple Grandin suffered from autism since childhood and could not speak at the age of four, she became an American animal scientist and a doctor of animal husbandry. She is one of the few experts in the design and construction of livestock handling equipment today. The animals use a more user-friendly system designed by Tempe. Grandin was fortunate to have a mother who refused to give up her Harvard graduation, and met her mentor, Dr. Carlock, who discovered Grandin's perspective on the world through his own eyes and discovered her. It turns out that Temple perceives the world through images.

Dr. Carlock has a very classic line "different, not inferior to others". Temple perceives the world in her own unique way, "thinking like a livestock", "nature is cruel, but we are not, we should give them more respect".

God makes you different, and will also give you powers. If there are miracles in this world, it must be the power of love

Temple Grandin quotes

  • Eustacia: I have done everything that I can for Temple, and if it isn't good enough, then it just isn't good enough. But you cannot even begin to imagine the chaos, the upheavals, the tantrums and the pain.

    [emphasis]

    Eustacia: Her pain.

Dr. Carlock: You seem to be acting as if you have done something wrong, when it's obvious you've done everything right. I think she's terrific.

  • Temple Grandin: [voiceover] I've always wanted to understand the gentleness that other people feel by being hugged by their mothers. And now I've made a machine that lets me do that. It feels like a wire gets reconnected. Like something gets repaired.
