I have always been disgusted with watching domestic costume films, whether it is a movie or a TV series, it makes me feel very pretentious. It's very strange, I don't feel that way about the costume films made by foreigners. As long as they are before the 1930s and 1940s, all the way back to the Middle Ages, they are very interested. Of course, with the exception of magic themes. Movies like The Lord of the Rings aren't my thing. Miss Potter, played by Renee Zellweger, lived in England at the beginning of the twentieth century. England at that time seemed to be particularly rich in old ladies who never married. Since Renee Zellweger has never touched the word "beautiful" since she was young, she is destined to become an acting school in her life. She is very suitable to play the kind of woman who has complete self-knowledge of her ordinary appearance, but does not feel sorry for herself, and is willing to laugh at herself, so she looks open-minded and makes people feel close. I really like the spiritual and warm rabbits, ducks and pigs drawn by Miss Potter. The effect of the small animals moving on the paper is really amazing. The death of her short-lived fiancé was really sudden, probably because medicine wasn't "prosperous" at that time (a word that is very popular in Hong Kong TV dramas), and human life is as fragile as paper, but it was just a love affair, and I was more excited. One day in the early summer, it was raining, and I coughed for a few days with an occasional wind and cold. After that, I became sick and passed away soon.

As a biography, this movie is very interesting, not boring, with fairy tales everywhere, but unfortunately Miss potter did not marry her favorite person in the end. ps: I still prefer local actors to play local characters. Renne's eager British accent and British details make her performance very stiff.
