I didn't refute my mother's opinion, but I didn't agree with it either. I can understand the mentality of her old man. He is a 50-year-old and a lady. Of course, he is not interested in such linear single-fiber violent movies. But what I watched was a joy! Hahaha!
Somehow, I am a nostalgic person, I like some old movies, the kind of pure rough feeling that there is almost no fake computer CG. "Predator" is one of them.
To be honest, the plot of this film is really thin. But what can it be? What I watch is not the plot itself. It is enough to have the strong Arnold who looks like a lion, and the ugly monsters that are more disgusting than poop. Hot visuals, very vulgar jokes, pretending to be deep suspense, this is the beauty of this film.
Watching movies is just a kind of enjoyment in itself. It is a kind of enjoyment to be able to speak freely in the ocean of movies, to bring us enjoyment, happiness, and even hypnotic movies, are they all good movies, isn't it? Those of us who are viewers should not discuss the depth of this type of film. It is not for people who want to see the depth. At least, this film gave us the memories of childhood in the video room. It at least allowed us to enjoy, be afraid, cry, or laugh. The purpose of this purely commercial film has been achieved, and the purpose of these producers is not our hope and happiness?
Sometimes I just think, why do I love watching this type of film? Maybe it's because in this peaceful age, I can't find a sense of destination. I feel that I don't know what to do at home all the time, and I am helpless outside. I can't find the true meaning of life. I want to vent violence, but I don't have a channel to vent it.
The special forces, the wars, the monsters, and the trembling and ridiculous plots in "Predator" have opened channels for me to fantasize and vent.
Actually, who doesn't want to become the person in the movie? Those happy, sad, happy, or terrifying days, who has never wanted to experience it for themselves even if there is a trace of heartbeat?
I love the sci-fi action film "Predator", even surpassing the "Alien Series" not because of other reasons, but because of its simplicity, its neatness, its purity, its rough and real image ocean.
It's just a pity that its sequel didn't continue the simple and neat style of the first one, and turned into a terrible movie that is utterly long and nonsense.
In the new century, a "Alien vs. Predator" has made its two classic monsters become infamous and scolded.
Alas... I miss the old film era so much that it gave me a happy image of childhood that is rough and simple, but full of simple violence.
