Drawing boards and wedding dresses

The first movie recently that made me cry for an hour and a half straight. Although the content is particularly single, it is about the incurable mother-child relationship in single-parent families. After reading it, it is very sad, and I can't comment on a word.

The director is Xavier Dolan, and this is his self-directed and starred debut at the age of twenty. The texture of the picture is as profound as an old movie, and the light and shadow are also full of a strong Wong Kar Wai style.

This is how the story begins: Hubert, a 16-year-old boy, lives in a single-parent family and lives with his mother. But since he went to high school, when he was an open-minded age, he would despise his mother's rigidity and backwardness. Hubert would carefully watch his mother eating the cream cake, peeping at her unsightly eating in disgust, and then a look of disgust on his face. He hated his mother's gaudy clothes, and the way she laughed out loud when she got together with her poor sisters. When he saw a person who was upset but had no reason to leave, he began to hate everything about his mother.

Especially at his boyfriend Anthony's house, he can meet his open-minded mother every time: generously accepting their relationship, having a bed partner, and mingling with her son like a friend. Hubert couldn't help but have a huge gap. "I think you're the worst mother in the world." This sentence resonates deeply with me. Whenever I quarrel, I always feel that I was born in the worst family in the world, with backward thinking and always with a straight face. But after the quarrel, I felt that I must be the worst child in the world. Without my family, I would have nothing.

Knowing this, Hubert decided to take on housework to please his mother. But since the mother learned that her son is gay, the relationship between the two has dropped to freezing point again. There will always be such a generation gap between us and our parents: they are single-minded, they are conservative and cannot accept the diversity of the world, and they are not tolerant. Mother and father wishful thinking sent Hubert to boarding school, away from his lover. The love between Hubert and Anthony is also the most beautiful part of the film. The love of two beautiful teenagers is poetry, a gramophone, and a midsummer night's dream. They splashed colorful paints on the snow-white walls arbitrarily, and the bodies of the two juicy teenagers hugged tightly. Anthony told him: "I love you." "If you fell down the stairs, I would be very distressed." This is the last love in Hubert's 16-year-old life. No one is as willing as a mother to pay her own life to bring her children to adulthood alone, and a father is always a missing role when you need it most. Likewise, nobody but Anthony would care about Bale leaving, and not every boy would be willing to spend time pranking people to make you laugh and risk being charged to help you play truant. We will find that in this world, you have nothing but those who truly care about you.

Pain is useless, and so is sadness. Everyone wants to live unrestrainedly and brilliantly, and we should have no quarrels and no partings. But when you come into this world, you can only feel the truth in this life that will eventually be nothing if you are with someone who truly loves you.
