"Fireworks" - Sonata of Running to Death Alone

Before watching the film, I heard many versions of the song called "Hana". The flowers formed by fire are like the fireworks that sparkle in the night sky near the end of each year, short and shining with the brilliance of life. Flowers are a splendid gift of life, and fire is the ultimate symbol of burning. Life should be like summer flowers, and death is like flowing fire.

To be honest, it took me the second time to watch this movie to understand the whole plot. The first time I watched Takeshi Kitano's movie, I heard from a friend that his movie contained a lot of violent or erotic content. It was like a knife, and the knife slashed your weakest point fatally. And although there are a lot of violent and bloody scenes in this film, it is like a soft sword in a stream, a sonata running towards death... It is different and makes you look at it.

West was originally just an ordinary person, but with the serious illness of his wife, the disability of his partner, and the sudden heavy responsibility, West began to die calmly shortly after the film began. It is not so much to face death as to seek it, death has become a tender choice at this moment. I don't know that the meaning of life is beautiful and hopeful after all. Maybe it's different for everyone, and everyone's environment and experience are different. Xi's choice seems hopeless, but in fact it is the most stubborn face. In the end, West paid off the debt with money from an elegant and domineering bank robbery, and made a final trip with his wife. In order not to disturb the travel, he even dealt with the gang bosses who came for money alone. The two lives that have been silently dependent on each other, just like the fireworks set off for her on the way, blooming gorgeously on the last road. That moment was so beautiful that it made me feel distressed, and that moment of tranquility surpassed Hisaishi's soundtrack.

To say that this film can score 100 points, Hisaishi's soundtrack accounts for at least 50 points. Especially the climax at the end of the film. Under the watchful eye of the sea, the mother of life, in a world of blue and white sand. Two silent dying lives await their final verdict. The two watched peacefully and calmly as a young girl tried vainly and happily to fly a kite that would never fly, followed by two police officers who came to arrest Xi. Death or happiness? Or run to death and be happy. The camera is zoomed out, and the two unexpected gunshots are in strong contrast with the quiet, deep and churning sea. Hisaishi's music echoes in the air, in everyone's heart. The death that should have been desperate, but with the music makes people feel a kind of boiling, is that the joy of liberation and detachment? maybe.

Maybe it was their fireworks.

The various flashbacks at the beginning may feel a bit confusing, but it's actually a simple story. Tiehan's tenderness is the most overwhelming! Kitano also knows how he is the most handsome: he doesn't need to talk when he meets (he seems to have three lines in total before entering the second half) and he just confuses people.

Really read with dead words. Kitano Takeshi's face is very ghostly, and it often gives me the feeling that he will go mad in the next second, but there is also a vague gentle feeling, forming a huge contrast and cuteness.
