old time

There is a door between reality and memory, just waiting for you to find an opportunity, find the right key, and open it.
I don't think it's been a long time since I found so much resonance in a film.

Taeko in the film is already 27 years old. She is really an ordinary woman. She is so ordinary that you can't tell the difference in the crowd. She has a mediocre job, has no lover, and lives a monotonous life in a big city. The more than ten days of vacation that I got, it must have been a seaside vacation for someone else, Taeko's mother said so, but Taeko chose to go to the countryside, boarded the night train, and started a vacation where memories and reality were intertwined.
There are many translations of the film, and I personally feel that the translation of "Reminiscence Bit by Bit" is the most appropriate. The memories are so intricate that they can’t form a coherent link. The simple joy of soaking in hot springs, doing morning exercises in the park with a good friend in the morning, and being disappointed when I ate pineapple for the first time because it was not delicious. Understand the rules of mathematical multiplication. I lost my temper because I was inexplicably jealous of my sister. I was slapped for the first time by my father. I was so happy because of a few simple words from Hirota, a boy who played baseball well in the next class. Loss and sadness... These old years that belonged to Taeko actually belong to each of us.

- Sunny, rainy and cloudy, which kind of weather do you like best?
On the road at dusk, the warm afterglow of the setting sun reflects on the boys and girls, and even the telephone poles on the roadside have a warm and hazy beauty. The little boy Hirota asked Taeko, the little girl who was standing not far away, such a silly question that seemed to have no meaning.
--cloudy day.
Thinking of the jokes of her good friend at school, the little girl replied softly with a blushing face.
—Yeah, me too!
The equally shy little boy answered quickly, with a happy expression on his face.
There was a long silence without sound, just a close-up of two innocent faces. Then the little boy turned around and ran away contentedly, the baseball in his hand flew high into the sky just like his mood at the moment. The girl also seemed to be flying into the clouds, and the small house at home couldn't hold her mood, so it overflowed beyond the roof.

This is one of my favorite memories in the whole film. When the 27-year-old Taeko was lying on the bed in the middle of the night thinking of this silly question and laughed out loud, I couldn't help laughing with myself. I thought of the boy who was excited because a boy answered a silly question many years ago. endless self.

The trip to the countryside gave Taeko an opportunity to recall the past and grow up again. At the age of 27, she is facing the pressure of marriage, career, etc. Similarly, Taeko, who is in the fifth grade, is also facing a growth turning point in her life. Taeko meets Junxiong, and his presence gives her the opportunity to share and discuss memories. Junxiong made Taeko grow up in his memories, and that old fifth grade time finally brought Taeko's trip to the countryside to a successful end. On the train on the return journey, those childish faces who belonged to childhood ran on the platform with laughter, ran into the carriage, and came to Taeko's side. The music at the end of the film is very motivating, and at such a simple and beautiful ending, I finally couldn't help my nose sore and shed tears.

It's about memories, about growing up, about good movies. I lay in bed and recalled the plot of the movie, but I remembered my own old memories as if I was seated. The stickers and certificates of merit on the wall in my hometown. I participated in a singing competition for the first time in elementary school, and drew a long "three-eighth line" with my tablemate. When I was in fifth grade, a group of girls went to the only physiology class in elementary school, because physics I failed the exam and didn't dare to hand it over to my parents. There was a boy who always liked to bully me... These are all clueless memories that I thought I had long forgotten, but they once again clearly appeared in front of my eyes.

In fact, like Taeko, we all need to constantly transform and grow in the memories of old times.
The past experiences, pain and joy coexist, but because they become memories, they become beautiful.
