Every good person can become the evil person in other people’s lives

In fact, before seeing the ending, I always thought this was a boring movie. The dull atmosphere, slow rhythm, and a bit of a mystery plot require a lot of attention to see it. But in the end, the death of the colonel and his family brought an unexpected shock to me. Only later did I understand the director's intention. The previous pages have been paving the way and accumulated a lot of effort to hit the hearts of the audience.
Because of the government's mistakes, the unemployed female protagonist Kathy, who was abandoned by her husband, lived a decadent life every day by pouring her sorrows with wine. Even more unfortunately, the house her father left for her was auctioned off at a low price by the government because it did not pay taxes. The buyer was Iranian Colonel Amir, who fled to the United States due to political turmoil. He planned to renovate the house and sell it at four times the price, leading his family to live the same prosperous life as before.
Casey tried all kinds of ways to regain his own house. Amir insisted on safeguarding his own interests and refused to compromise, while the government was unwilling to pay for his mistakes. Several waves of people continued to conflict and intensify conflicts over this house. Lead to tragedy. Their demands are reasonable, but the way of safeguarding their own interests is a bit excessive. They are all kind-hearted low-level people, but in a sense they have also become evil people who have destroyed each other's lives.
Among the main characters, the most perfect display of humanity should be the colonel's son (the colonel’s wife is gentle and kind, but at the same time blind and weak), but he first became the victim of this game. Looking at the two key points that generate and intensify contradictions, they are both objective and external mistakes. If it were not for the government's mistake to confiscated Casey's house, this tragedy would not have occurred. If it were not for the powerlessness of the law, Casey would not despair. If the police did not make a mistake and killed Amir's son, Amir would not have a nervous breakdown and kill his wife and then commit suicide. Perhaps this is also a satire that the government has always looked at the surface and failed to see the real suffering behind the people. The government is a huge machine composed of the will of tens of thousands of people. It contains too many emotions but no emotions. It contains too many parts to abandon the overall situation.
After watching this movie, we can't blame a single person, there is only an unspeakable anger. The shortcomings of human nature will be catalyzed by a certain opportunity and evolve into a devil capable of causing disaster. I just hope that I will be calmer and more objective in the face of crises in the future.

I have watched all kinds of bad movies recently and finally came to the department.

Tragic, artistic, and even some scenes and transitions have a sense of fussing. The three characters are relatively simplified. The connection between the police and Casey and his personal transformation are especially simple. Paranoid. @2020-05-02 13:44:55
