I saw a lot of comments on the Internet, most of them are over-interpreting the film, saying that the protagonist and Simon Pegg are not dead! It's actually a gimmick or something.
Many people are like this. They always like to arrange the plot for the director. They always feel that they are smarter than the director. It's all metaphors. Watching a popcorn blockbuster, you can't wait to dig some humanity out of it. Although the film does not belong to the director as soon as it is released, such self-indulgence is a bit too pretentious.
