I just recently finished reading a primer on sociology and I fell in love with this film review: at all costs (even if the world is destroyed), to withdraw from the exploitation of the whole system in order to preserve one's own humanity (the one you love). The crux of capitalism lies in the fact that everyone relies too much on this system based on exploitation and responsibility (comprehensive governance from economics to ethics), and cannot completely withdraw from the market. This kind of awareness that the world would rather not have".
Reflection: The more we integrate into the workings of the social system, the more we act like a tool person. The more successful people are in the sense of worldly values, the easier it is to affirm all of this. Only from people on the edge of society such as male and female protagonists can one experience the criticality of this society. We were taken aback by the male protagonist pointing his gun at the police. But I can't help but wonder, does the police equal absolute justice? Does a person in this profession represent absolute justice for him? no. This is nothing but the setting of the social system.
Sometimes I am very grateful for this era, the various social systems that ensure a peaceful daily life. It exists to make people's lives better. But I'm just afraid that my life is just like this, just to be satisfied with being this screw, and even take it as the whole purpose of my life, turn around, let my life just spin in place, forget that I still have emotions and what you really want.
The reason why the love described by Makoto Shinkai moved me is because the hero and heroine have preserved their human nature. No matter what the pressure in the society is, their feelings are strong and hot, and they are willing to do anything for it. Thinking of the schedule that overdrawn all the time in Tokyo, and the numbness behind the task-oriented life. Rental houses, trams, schools, part-time jobs, entertainment... so numb that even entertainment is like a pastime after work, and you don't need to worry too much. There is a stark contrast between that numbness and the male protagonist's strong impulsiveness. The male protagonist's madness is too dazzling. Because he can't do it and doesn't understand it, it starts to make me sneer and laugh at him as a less "normal" person in society.
In a rational world, superfluous emotions are all hypocritical and superfluous, and sensibility is ignored every day. No complaints and high efficiency become synonymous with maturity. In fact, isn’t that what society wants us to be?
