After watching the movie, I was impressed by Makoto Shinkai's exquisite picture and fine creative skills. I don't think this movie has lost the level of Makoto Shinkai's previous works. We can't stop the rain from falling just like we can never stop the gurgling water from flowing eastward to a person. The power is humble. When the hope of the whole society is praying in one person, then the world is actually sad. The only hope is pinned on an accident. You can say that the male protagonist is selfish, but we are not saints. It is impossible to guarantee that when we use this ability and this strength, we can take the overall situation into consideration and dedicate our lives to the people we have never met.
