Jackie - Murder in the Name of Love

Linnet was really amazing when she appeared on the stage with a pearl gauze covering her face. At each subsequent banquet, the costumes of everyone were exquisite and moving. Jackie's presence is as unforgettable as her fiery personality.

The shooting angle of this feature film is more like a drama. The story begins, the main characters appear one by one, and finally gather on the boat on the Nile River, so the initial perception still lacks the coherence of the story. The reasoning behind the detective is repeating the murder process of each possible perpetrator, which is very protracted. From the time Jackie accidentally shot Simon, Simon's concern for Jackie is suspicious, and it is not difficult to speculate who the murderer is from the beginning of Linnet's death, because Jackie does not have a reliable source of funds to support her. This trip goes to Egypt. This is a murder in the name of love, and Jackie loves Simon so much that he has no self-principle. Jackie is, and so is Linnet. And what about Simon? He loves money more than he loves himself. He is a person who came out of a high school, no matter how ordinary his life is, he can still live a good life and even get rid of the ordinary.

Jackie defended Simon by saying that he had always been poor, so he was fascinated by Linnet's wealth, and let everyone not be too harsh on him. But there is nothing wrong with being poor, it's just that being poor has not jumped out of this circle. Rich is not always rich, property will be exhausted, or else, people precede property. The poor gradually become poor, and the rich gradually become richer. If you want to get rid of poverty, you must first let go of the obsession with wealth. Jackie wanted to pull Simon out of poverty, and always stretched out that hand in the name of love, but Simon himself didn't want to uproot his barren self.

Never tire of watching. 20180531 Re-watch, the clothes are really beautiful. Before, the young ladies and sisters were all so thin and good-looking.

After watching it, I was stunned, this is the real detective film. At that time, I was fascinated by the "damn French guy", oh no, the "Belgian guy", and later I watched "Sin under the Sun", which is so classic.

Death on the Nile quotes

  • Mrs Otterbourne: [Interrupting Poirot and Race] Do forgive me for butting in, but I have a bet with my daughter here, that you're Hercules Porridge, the famous French sleuth.

Hercule Poirot: Not quite. I am Hercule Poirot, the famous Belgian sleuth.

  • [to Mrs. Van Schuyler and Miss Bowers]

Manager Of The Karnak: You are Mrs. and Ms. Otterbourne, righty?

    Mrs. Van Schuyler: Wrong-y!
