Wizard of Oz, 2008 musical

I saw a cartoon called The Wizard of Oz when I was very young. I like that scarecrow. I watched THE WIZARD OF OZ yesterday. New musical. I saw the poster in the subway a long time ago, and I didn't feel much at that time, until I suddenly realized that there was ADAM COOPER in the name of CAST below. The former top beam of the royal ballet jumped over the male version of Swan Lake by MATTHEW BOURNE and set himself on his own. After that, he switched from classical to modern stage. Basically, he choreographed (danced) and danced himself every summer, playing the piano and singing.

The Wizard of Oz, whose real name is the wizard of Oz, was translated into the Wizard of Oz or the Adventures of Oz in order to conform to the reading habits of the Chinese people. Shengsheng translates into a fantasy journey of a shepherd boy. The story is familiar to everyone. The little girl Dorothy quarreled with her uncle and aunt and ran away from home. Together with the puppy TOTO, she was blown to the country of Oz by a tornado, and embarked on the path of finding a wizard in order to return home. Encountered a scarecrow, a tin man, and a cowardly lion on the way, and the four teamed up to overcome obstacles and defeated the bad witch. The Scarecrow got wisdom, the Tin Man got love, the Lion got courage, Dorothy and the puppy finally returned home, realizing that there was no warmth of home anywhere.

The role of ADAM in the play is TIN MAN. I have to say, it's a bit of a shame. Comments praised Dorothy and the Scarecrow, but the Tin Man and the Lion had no such luck. Think about it too, from the topless white swan to the whole body tightly wrapped in iron skin, you can't even see the joints, let alone the muscles. A review 10 years ago said that ADAM even had a play on its back. All have expressions. Critics often spare no effort to push the actor/dancer/singer/WHATEVER to an unprecedented height, just because they can still eat in ten years. The same person continued to spare no effort to criticize. However, ADAM is nearly 40 this year. Although I bought a ticket early to see him, I still want to see the big jumps of SWAN appearing again in my heart. Isn't it too demanding to see the swirling dance of Stranger in black? .

PETE said that he likes ADAM's performance very much, and ADAM's voice on stage is very good. That is the voice that belongs to the swan in my memory. It was the first time I saw him in the backstage of ON YOUR TOES five years ago. I said hello softly and shyly. It was he who took the painting that belonged to him from me. , And then surprised to ask whether this is a gift. From a distance, ADAM's appearance on the stage has not changed. It just feels like he has grown up, and he hasn't grown old.

Back to the play. The musical completely reproduces the charm of the original movie in 1939, and all the costumes and props remain unchanged. Dorothy is still the little girl with two braids in a light blue checkered dress in 39 years. The actor Siân Brooke dyed her blonde hair brown for this. In the Scarecrow scene, the three black crows are very stunning, and their actions are reminiscent of swan-but of course it is an obscene version. XD Lion’s voice is very nice, but I don’t know if it’s caused by modern pop culture. His every action is too gay. It is worth mentioning that TOTO the puppy, they really found a very obedient little white dog to perform and ran all over the stage. At the final curtain call, the audience gave it the most applause.

Finally, let me talk about the shortcomings. The entire stage play lasted almost three hours, and the plot was a bit procrastinated. I thought that the children would be overwhelmed, but it was the adults who slipped away and didn't watch the second half. All the children sat in their seats honestly and watched for three hours. The other is the appearance of the bad witch. The power of those three explosions was too strong. I almost jumped up from the chair, wouldn't those children cry? Just to mention, the scene where the witch melts in the end is very good, and the stage is very expressive.

Dorothy was a kind of self-willed child until the tornado took her to the Wizard of Oz. She became a gang of male creatures who had no courage and self-confidence. She sang and danced all the way to find the head to help. They opened the spa. After singing and dancing happily, the witch came out to make trouble, and finally justice defeated the evil. Dorothy should also go home. Dorothy discovered love and beauty, found that she had gone astray and decided to be a good man.

Show off the 3D version I watched! Contracted my happiness and warmth this season! I discovered that the Wicked Witch actually came from the Wizard of Oz! The girl who has been to the Wizard of Oz in childhood, the girl who loves courage and humor in her dreams, should be fearless when she grows up

The Wizard of Oz quotes

  • Dorothy: I've got a witch mad at me and you might get into trouble!

  • Glinda: Only bad witches are ugly.
