The origin of the famous scene

I don’t know how many times I’ve watched the episodes, but I still can’t get enough of it, so I found the original novel and noticed that the screenwriter is really brilliant. In addition to adding a lot of romantic plots and dramatic conflicts, the male protagonist stood in the snow and watched the female protagonist leave. Then whispered affectionately: look back, look back at me. The famous scene should also be the inspiration that the screenwriter got from the original plot.

In the original novel, the heroine has been entangled and depressed about Thornton knowing that she lied and said that she did not go to the station. There is a passage in her heart that she no longer hopes that Thornton will have love for her, but that she hopes to be concerned and respectful, and then the author quotes a verse:
