It is usual in US. movie there would be someone sometimes your parents sometimes your friends sometimes a stranger there waiting for you and then saying a quite wise sentence that could enlighten you. Rachel is lucky. She had a great father. Finally, Rachel learnt how to produce a loud voice, which I think is quite a good design in the movie. With the song 'happy together', Luce and Rachel hug with each other and kiss. That's a happy ending.
