She's our queen.——"Cleopatra"

This is a magical woman, who can convince every prince and minister in Rome by her stunning appearance, and can easily play the Roman leaders with applause by her political skills. She is just a weak woman, but protects the safety of the entire Egyptian people. She has been in power for 22 years. Because of her, Egypt is rich and peaceful, stable and harmonious. She is Cleopatra, the Queen of Cleopatra.

Due to the struggle for political rights, she was exiled into the desert, dressed in a blanket and a loyal servant, so she dared to go directly to the all-powerful Caesar to negotiate terms; when Caesar was assassinated, she took their children back to Egypt indifferently, and believed that, Rome must need the support of Egypt. She was so sensible, so smart, so strong that we even forgot that she was just an ordinary woman.

When Anthony died, she completely lost her political backbone. In order to show his power, Octavian took such a proud woman to parade through the streets. The history she wrote came to an abrupt end here.

Some people say that she committed suicide and was bitten to death by a venomous snake that had been prepared. However, this statement is somewhat unreasonable. It was only a few minutes away. Why did she die when Octavian arrived at the scene?

Egypt also needs her to keep one side safe, and her sons need the support of their mother. She has too many things to let go, too many ambitions to be realized, and she will not give up her ambitions for a small failure.

Although in the movie, the gorgeous queen is exhausted physically and mentally and is determined to follow her lover, but why did she not lead her army to risk her death when she first thought that Anthony died in battle, but returned to her son and the Egyptian people to protect their safety ? In the past, he could let go of his lover indifferently to defend his son and the motherland, but at the time of the country's survival, he chose to commit suicide and hand over his young son and the people of the whole country to the sinister Octavian, which seemed unreasonable.

I would rather believe that Octavian thought that he could not resist such a beautiful and strange woman, let alone compete with her politically. Out of his desire for power, he had to kill this woman he admired.

Cleopatra, a real myth, a real queen.

Cleopatra quotes

  • Rufio: "In obtaining her objectives, she has been known to use torture, poison... and even her own sexual talents, which are said to be considerable. Her lovers, I am told, are listed more easily by number than by name. It is said that she chooses in the manner of a man... rather than wait to be chosen after womanly fashion." Well, there's more reason than we thought... for not wanting to leave you two alone, eh, sir'?

Julius Caesar: I'm sorry, Rufio, I wasn't listening.

  • Julius Caesar: Trust? Not for a minute. "Trust." The word has always made me apprehensive. Like wine, whenever I've tried it, the aftereffects have not been good.
