Claude is deformed and rebellious in adolescence, interested in peeping and tearing other people's lives. He pretended and followed the guidance of his French teacher Gilman to peep into the life of his friend's family. In fact, he was being led to peep and tear Gilman's life apart.
In the end Gilman was torn apart.
But he didn't mean to blame Claude, and the two voyeurs are likely to continue to join forces to invade other people's lives.
