"Piero the Madman" is referred to as "Crazy", "Fanny and Alexander" is referred to as "Fin", and "Playtime" is referred to as "Play".

In fact, these three films don't seem to have anything to do with each other objectively, and they are put together purely because of personal viewing experience.

On the one hand, my feelings about these three films are: It's so long, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah ah, every minute, ah ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah ah, each film is a long ah ah ah ah ah, ah ah, ah ah, every film is long after watching it off and on! But, every film has something that pulls you and makes you reluctant to let it go. This thing is my personal style. These three films are too stylized. What I am curious about is this personal style.

I like such flamboyant and wanton little tricks, like when we were young, we were swaggering down the street, chatting from fugue to the Vietnam War, from Eliot to Heidegger, you like poetry and ideals, I like music and Life. So I'm not happy because you talk to me in poetry and I look at you with love.

Godard was the least favorite of the New Wave. This one is not so disgusting, the lines are very good, and it is no wonder that it is praised by Aragorn. It is a poem. At the same time think of "Midnight in Paris". Godard used words to pay tribute to the masters, Woody Allen used pictures. In contrast, I felt that Allen was just counting the treasures, so he failed to touch me. Godard was different. He was empathizing and conveying, so he was obviously better.

Pierrot le Fou quotes

  • Ferdinard: It's a good thing I don't like spinach, because if I did, I'd eat it, and I can't stand the stuff. It's the same with you, only the other way around. There is a film like that with Michel Simon. He got taken by this girl.

  • Marianne: That's what makes me sad: life is so different from books. I wish it were the same: clear, logical, organized.
