At the beginning, I liked to listen to those cheerful tunes, but after listening to more, I found out: Jiang is still old and spicy, the one by Catherine Deneuve is an absolute classic, and the sexy charm of that woman has reached her bones.
Musical films often have the embarrassment of "buying pearls and repaying them". The plot is bland and weak, and they all rely on gorgeous singing and dancing jokes to support the scene. The film doesn't repeat the same mistakes at this point. The plot is quite interesting, at least it doesn't make people unable to fast-forward to the next song. For a musical, this is a successful plot setting.
