To be honest, I don't really like this movie.
As always, the film is full of exaggerated French humor, sexy and alluring erotic scenes, and of course, French luxury and elegance in fashion, jewelry, and architecture. But there are some really touching elements missing.
Admittedly, this film does make people laugh. I laugh especially when I see some of the absurd scenes in it, but I know it's not a heartfelt laugh. Because after laughing, the corners of my mouth stiffened.
The humor of "The Priceless Woman" is different from that of "Spring in the Cattle Class." The latter is innocent, touching, intelligent humor.
The humor of "The Priceless Woman" is also different from that of "Shut Up." The latter is warm, witty, and endearingly humorous.
The humour of The Priceless Woman is, at best, sarcastic black humour. Every laugh from the audience is like a sneer, sneering at this love world full of deceit and hypocrisy. Men and women are just liars fighting each other. You cheat and deceive, and treat love as a worthless plaything. And the laughter of "The Priceless Woman" is full of helplessness and sadness.
For Irene, a five-star luxury hotel is her hunting ground for hunting. Young, old, married, or a single nobleman, she spared none of them. Her relationship with the man is purely based on money. Jewelry, noble fashion, expensive watches and shoes... are all things that she dreams of and dreams of. For such a liar who plays with feelings, is there any real love?
The only scene in the whole film that touched me a bit was when Irene found out that Jean was just a poor hotel waiter, and bought a plane ticket to send him away. Before leaving, Jean took out a A 1 euro coin, he said he would use the 1 yuan to buy Erin for 10 seconds. Irene agreed, so I gave Rang 10 seconds, and she just stared at Irene's eyes with such infatuation, motionless, in those 10 seconds, I vaguely saw the love between Irene and Jean, and the whole play. It is only this short 10 minutes that moved me.
However, Erin still took the 1 euro and turned around and left. Their love is still based on money relationships.
I don't deny that Irene loves Jean, at least she thinks that he is young and more attractive than the old man she deceived. But I doubt Irene's love is pure love? Is it true love? I don't think so. Although the film depicts a sweet scene at the end, Irene gave up the chance to marry a rich old man, took off her expensive high heels, and leaned barefoot on the back of Jean who was riding a motorcycle. Depart from an unknown city. But I seem to be able to foresee their ending. Either they will continue to use their love liar's tricks and have an exciting affair, or they will quarrel endlessly for a poor life and finally break up.
As long as you watch this movie from beginning to end, you will find that whenever Erin and Jean are alone, the so-called spark of love is inseparable from money and sex. Irene and Jean are attracted to each other, or in love with each other, but unfortunately, their love did not touch me.
Some films are saddening after watching, some are pleasant, and some are thought-provoking. These films are catalysts for improving the state of mind and an indispensable agent in our lives. But "The Priceless Woman" doesn't fall into the category of good movies mentioned above. At best, it's just a small distraction for bored urbanites after dinner, just like the American movie series "American Pie", it can't touch the deepest part of our hearts, so it can't be remembered by people.
