There are always dreams in life worth holding on to

I just watched the glass castle. The heroine, as a thoughtful and assertive, tells that her unreliable parents lead their four siblings to live a wandering life. Her mother is an idealist who can only paint, and her father Always give them a fantasy of a better life, but live a life of smoking and drinking that repeats the same mistakes, and the beautiful vision has become a trash can of reality. In her continuous growth, she found that only by herself can she change this bad life. She went to school, worked hard to improve herself, went out, and took her younger siblings to work hard to leave them. Although his parents look terrible, and everything is a mess, the heroine's tough character benefits from his father's cruel reality education. Everyone has a beautiful dream in their heart. Although it may be unrealistic and difficult, sometimes life is supported by it. I feel that as parents, we have the responsibility and obligation to give our children a better life. Of course, we must also let our children know how to live under the cruelty of reality, so that they have the ability to grasp everything and strive to be a better version of themselves. Live a better life. PS: Is there always a dream in life worth sticking to?

The Glass Castle quotes

  • Jeannette: [sighs] My parents are squatting in an abandoned building on the Lower East Side.

    David: Jeanette...

Jeannette: They were homeless before that for three years before that, which was pretty much how they raised us. My dad is not developing a technology for bituminous coal but he could tell you anything you want to know about it. He is the smartest man I know. He is also a drunk.

    [inhales]

Jeannette: never finishes what he starts and can be extremely cruel. But he dreams bigger than anyone I've ever met. And he never tries to be somebody that he's not. He never wanted me to either.

    [Exhales]

Jeannette: I'm sorry, but I have to leave.

    David: Go.

  • Jeannette: You did all this for me?

Rex: Since when is it wrong for a father to take care of his little girl?
