The film mainly tells a series of stories that happened when American doctor Tom, after his son Daniel was unfortunately killed in France, set off to France to retrieve his son's body and relics.
During the journey, Old Tom met three fellow travelers. At first, they were just on the same road. For their own purposes, they happened to walk on this pilgrimage road together.
