A movie full of narration, precious images of the First World War, made me think a lot.
A group of enthusiastic people joined the army without declaring their age, and after a brief training, they were sent to the front line. When faced with the roaring artillery fire and the corpses everywhere, their excitement and enthusiasm retreated, and the fear of human nature took the upper hand. Fleas, rats and swearing, the sentinel could fall asleep standing up, and the officer pointed a gun at the back at the moment of charging and said that whoever retreated would be shot down, the German prisoners could have friendly exchanges, and they were full of smiles when exchanging hats , they are ordinary people like the barber salesman, and they didn't want to continue to fight this war, so what's the point of fighting this war, who are they fighting for and why? When the armistice agreement was signed, there was no cheering and parade, and everyone was silent. The most familiar job that young people in their teens are best at is the battlefield. Society is unwilling to accept this group of fighters who are fighting for the country, so what will happen in the future? No one wants to listen to the front-line stories of veterans when they are in military uniform. Only their comrades can understand and tell what happened in these years.
This is the real war, a hundred years have passed, which war is not so cyclical. Cherish peace, and please don't forget those veterans who fought for the country.
