Some movies aren't perfect, but will make you want to see them a second time

I'm a person who hates watching a movie and stop halfway through and say we'll see it next time.

But this film for some reason I repeatedly paused, paused countless times. In the end, when I saw it was exactly halfway, I turned it off completely and prepared to watch it next time.

This "last" to "next" time span is from late 2020 to March 2021.

I shared a love movie with my roommate tonight as planned. After closing the page, I saw the name "Half Understanding", and my mind was full of Allie Chu, Chu Chu... So I decided to watch it.

Unsurprisingly...I still paused countless times in the second half.

I don't know why, but whenever I press space, there is always a hint of embarrassment in my embarrassment and excitement.

—————————

"Literature" I really like this story, the director's literary temperament is diffused throughout the work, not only is my orientation sniping, but it hits the bull's-eye. Quoting the Bookbag Nerd Art Painting Music Church, all the elements are saying to me, hey Wen Qing, come on, get ready for a screenshot.

"Campus" I wrote the outline of a novel one night, and came up with 20,000 words. At that time, I said to myself, I am really good at writing about middle school life, and I can't stop the car. Because I like it, because every experience seems to happen on the tentacles of the newborn, because I have tried and observed it, I am good at it. The same is true of "Half Understanding", the campus is not empty foam, but leaves with delicate texture.

"Feelings" thb, I watched this movie for the straight and chaotic emotional line. I, a small transparent writer who writes bg in bl settings and gl in bg settings, always prefer this kind of weird settings. "Half Understanding" did not disappoint me at all, and even said that it far exceeded expectations.

The three conflicting and characteristic emotional lines are clear, real, and full of detail. The characters' emotional changes and behaviors have some foreshadowing, and the lines are especially in place. I like the lines of this show, they are not heavy on the ink but almost every sentence is on my nerves, so I paused countless times to slow down. Even because the food my foreign roommate cooked tonight was so delicious, I ate too much and felt a little sick. The nausea here is purely because I was moved by the movie, as foreigners like to say, "a knot in the stomach".

"Straight Men" I saw a saying a few days ago, which is very interesting: the best straight men live in the writings of female authors. The Paper Man is the best friend of the female writer and the female reader. It just doesn't fit in this movie. Although Paul made mistakes in the early stage, he should not lie, but he is indeed a rare good person. Just like the "27 Dresses" I watched before tonight, the male protagonists cheated in the early stage, which is very bad, but later they proved that they are good male protagonists. However, I'm going to tell you something else. In reality, if a man deceives you, let him go, immediately. This kind of good person makes mistakes in the early stage, but he is actually a good person. It will only happen in the 2.5th dimension.

Nothing else to say for the time being.

Not sure who to share this movie with?

(Actually, the heroine looks a lot like a girl who confessed to me in high school. I was too naive at the time, and I didn’t handle it well. I didn’t handle it well until my freshman year. I’m very, very, very sorry. So I’m too embarrassed to Share this movie with good friends from high school, they can see it at a glance, and then I will be whipped again.)

Good looking Badger, if I were an Asian American lesbian high school student I would be inspired by this movie!

Translate the ruined movie series. In a good love, there are intellectual connections like Ellie and Aster, family bonds like Ellie and Paul, and skins like Aster and Paul. But many, many people always think that one of them is love, so there are many tragicomedies in the world.

The Half of It quotes

  • Ellie Chu: I'm Ellie Chu.

Aster Flores: Yes, I know. You've only been playing my dad's services every Sunday for, like, four years. You're his favorite heathen. He can't handle mediocre accompanists, even if they ARE saved.

  • Ellie Chu: The good thing about being different is that no one expects you to be like them.
