A Walk in the Clouds: The Secret of Wine is all about Time

From San Francisco to Napa, a wine country not far away is by train and bus. This is Northern California in the United States at the end of World War II. The war is over; Paul goes home, but as long as he closes his eyes, he remembers the bloody scenes of fighting the fascists on the battlefield of the European Community, especially the babies in the bombed orphanage and the German teenage soldiers who were killed. The corpse is always on his mind. During those four years, he wrote almost every day a letter to his wife, who had been married before enlisting in the army. But these letters, which his wife said were afraid of seeing the killing, were not opened. When he found out that Victoria was pregnant but was abandoned and did not dare to go home, he stepped in to help, pretending to be her husband and sending her home. Victoria's grandparents are from Mexico, and her father runs a sizable vineyard and winery in Napa. Originally, Paul and Victoria could have had a perfect and happy ending, but a fire destroyed everything. Paul rescued a few old grape roots, and this is all there is to hope for. That's what the film is about: war or fire, destroying everything and starting all over again.
