- thoughts on the movie "Angel A"
European movies can easily be divided into two categories, the fun and the boring. Unfortunately, you can't tell them apart based on posters, directors, actors, or critics alone.
Only take risks.
This time, I can say that Angel A made my adventure worth the price.
There was a joke that used the generality of words to describe a short sentence, but summed up love, horror, mystery and religion. Using the same trick, I can say this: this is a movie that includes unfulfilled love, omnipotent and hopeless angels, sinful mafia, confused nightclubs, suicide, redemption and self-redemption.
If this interests you, go ahead.
Andre Moussa, 28 years old, from Algeria, has obtained a US green card and is currently in Paris, France.
You have reason to remember them because, this is a movie about him.
A whole movie about him in just one day (or days?).
Yes, all, that is, his life and love. (That's what a man is all about, isn't it?)
Now, our Andre is in a little bit of trouble, although according to him he owns a house in the US, and has some businesses in Argentina, Chile, and even China. Enthusiastic, sociable and dealing with relationship issues, living a happy life (much like our petty bourgeoisie?).
He owes a little money. Unfortunately, his creditor is a somewhat grumpy underworld boss.
He only has one day, either to exchange money, or, according to people's saying, tomorrow, his name will not be needed in the script. Or straight up (excuse my rudeness) and he'll kill him.
Like all law-abiding citizens, he turned to his asylum agency, the US embassy, for help after receiving such information and knowing it was accurate.
Yes, he has the right to do so, because his ancestors have dedicated their lives to the independence and freedom of the United States, because he obeys the law and fulfills his responsibilities as an American citizen, although he made some small mistakes in his youth, but, Who has never been young?
Regrettably, Mr. Consul's database was significantly stronger, establishing Andre's American identity, as well as his Algerian origin, criminal records from three months ago.
He had to leave with his precarious American identity.
Or, should you be gentle with the next person you seek help? Try to show your helplessness, and also, humility.
However, the French police undoubtedly lacked enough sympathy, and they responded with leather boots to Andre's request to hide in the prison. Didn't even think about arresting him.
Including the police car that drove past him.
Well, Andrea is really cornered. He stepped onto a bridge, ready to end his life.
Or, in the midst of it, he once prayed to God. Well, God heard his voice.
He sent an angel for him.
Jump off the bridge with him.
Oh sorry, my narration was not accurate enough. To be exact, this 180-foot-tall blond angel jumped first when he was about to jump down. Then, even though he couldn't swim, Andre bravely rushed to the lake and dragged the angel to the shore.
Of course, in his eyes, he didn't know that she was an angel. He thought she was an idiot who didn't know how to cherish youth, beauty, and everything needed for a happy life. If she ignores all this, at least she should choose another bridge.
There are already people on this bridge.
Andrea wanted to leave, but he was worried about this person who despised life as much as he did. He and her discussed the meaning of life and the value of life.
In the end, she was his, and she wanted to follow him all the time.
As proof, she gave him the kiss he asked for.
Now, our Andrei has a good helper, a helper with a proud figure, charming beauty, and extraordinary skills at the same time.
He negotiated with his creditor for an hour, but the creditor didn't hear a word; and she, in just one gesture and five minutes, settled his debt.
However, he felt pain.
While accepting the thousand-yuan bills she exchanged for him, he drank glasses of spirits.
In the end, with her help, he paid off all the debts.
More importantly, on the balcony of the hotel, he finally found out, "The night view of Paris is so beautiful."
With her help, facing himself in the mirror, Andre saw kindness, tenderness and beauty.
He finally learned how to love himself and love life.
I know that I am worthy of being loved and cared for by others; I also need to love and care for others.
Of course, the director wants to give him, and more.
I always think that the story of the prince and princess living happily ever after is just a fairy tale forever.
A childhood lie that doesn't suit anyone.
The reality is cruel, and sooner or later we have to face it.
Therefore, if childhood received too much fictional and beautiful warmth in the greenhouse, then sooner or later, when you walk into the streets of the present society, you will catch a cold.
Only scars record the footprints of people's growth.
It is a pity that the beautiful director repeated this lie again and again.
The only thing I don't like is the ending.
Don't say too much, otherwise it may affect everyone's interest in watching this movie.
(Don't involve too many plots in your narrative, especially the ending, I always think it's a matter of character)
Everyone lives in a prison circled for themselves, free, only by their own struggle.
If you don't have an angel to help you.
Everyone deserves their own share of love.
If you believe this, you can live a positive and happy life.
Or, if you're not quite sure about this yet, go check out this movie.
Finally, as a conclusion:
this is a film full of hints and topics, the director deliberately arranged a stark contrast between Andre and his angels, a cowardly and inferior, trying to survive by deceiving himself, a passionate, ignorant There are no restrictions and therefore no shackles of thought. So, from the very beginning, the status of such a pair was obvious, the Angel's height reached 180, and Andre, at most 170. Their figures make you naturally associate with tutors and students.
Although I don't like it, I have to admit that in the second half of the film, the dramatic shift in this identity contrast begins, and Andrea begins to hold his head up and begins to use complex coherent clauses, while the angel begins to turn A weak loss (this loss may have started from her account of her life). I don't know if it's because of psychological cues, and their height gap has also narrowed (Angel took off her high heels, or did Andre buy height-enhancing insoles?)
In fact, from the beginning, when Angel hadn't confessed her identity , the director has already made a hint.
When Andrea was about to jump off the cross-country bridge, he complained to God about his neglect of himself, so when he turned his head, Angel appeared beside him; , There is a scene where Angel happened to be standing behind a pair of angel wings sculptures. Through the lens, you happened to see an Angel with wings outstretched.
European directors always like to include their thoughts and discussions on real-world issues in their films, and this one is no different. Of course, I will no longer waste space and everyone's time on such a matter of opinion.
However, the talk about the interaction and responsibility between citizens and society is really interesting.
In addition, does the powerful computer of the consul indicate that the Internet is becoming more and more realistic, from no one knowing that you are a dog to everyone controlling your privacy.
Also, the part about the life of an angel. Is your he/her, his/her once really that important to you?
