Youth always flies too fast, and we are a bit slow to accept this reality. Ten years have passed in a blink of an eye. I was only in my freshman year when the first Car Story was released, and now I am an aunt in the workplace.
The same goes for McQueen in Cars. Pixar’s animations always reflect the real world, with a little warmth and a little ruthlessness. Even the protagonist will one day fade away from the protagonist's aura and endure the sudden aging and failure.
Did we do something wrong? Isn’t the training hard enough? Is there not enough overtime? Why are we not so daring to speak? Why is it more conservative to do things? Why become sophisticated and lack new ideas? While time has given us experience, it has taken away freshness and audacity. We have nowhere to complain because we are no longer young. The world will no longer listen to our complaints, and every sigh will only sink into the ocean. There are always so many generations of young people who embrace the world, and the world belongs to them.
At first McQueen still couldn't accept this reality. Who wants to admit that he is old? When I was called an aunt for the first time, I also wanted to correct that ignorant child should be called an elder sister. Many unwillingnesses hope to make up for it with new training, new environment, and new facilities. I always think that man will win the day, after all, I have won so many rounds before. Just like paper media, it used to be so brilliant, but now even the front row of the show is self-media. No matter how deep the report, no matter how sophisticated the shooting, after all, it can't match the tide of the speed reading era.
A particularly well-known theory in management is the second curve. It's about people who need to start the second curve before the first curve reaches its peak in order to keep rising.
Everything is prosperous and declining, and once the highest point is passed, it will decline. Uninterrupted victory often blinds our eyes. Many companies, including Nokia, did not expect the decline to come quickly when they experienced the success of the first curve. When they looked back, they would sigh. We should have done that at the time. It was too late.
McQueen, who was unwilling to retire, finally discovered when participating in the race that the 95 era was over and a younger generation of racing cars would eventually take his place. Rather than reluctantly give up, it is better to pass on.
Overall, the Cars series is not Pixar's best work. The reason for the 3 is probably because the derivatives are selling well. Even the movie also joined this segment. McQueen was asked to retire by the new boss and turned to endorsement fenders. I don’t know if 4 will continue, but the theme of this inheritance is a good answer.
We cannot refuse every gift of the years. But we can choose the way we accept it. At least let yourself seem to have a choice on the surface.
As the first wave to be photographed on the beach, your second curve, are you ready?
