beauty without words

The feeling that this animation left me can be summed up in one word - spirit. There are many kinds of beauty, this animation is the kind of beauty that is particularly aura, the color saturation of the picture is very good, the visual effect is very colorful and colorful, just press the pause and it looks like a beautiful illustration. Watching a movie is like watching a picture book. What is commendable is that the details are very well done. Presumably the production team is a Virgo. Haha.
The picture is beautiful in such a movie, to be honest, I don't care much about the plot. If the plot design is taken out alone, it is indeed a bit blunt, lacking logic and concatenation, and it is not the type that can give people a lot of inspiration and aftertaste. By the way, Spirited Away is a representative of a movie that wins with plot and meaning in my heart, and it belongs to the genre that can give you a new experience no matter how many times you watch it. Although there should be few people who haven't seen it, I still want to recommend it again.

To sum up in one sentence, this is a movie that is known for its pictures, and it is impeccably beautiful, so don't be too serious about the plot. Watching it in a relaxed, like a picture book mood will give you a good viewing experience. Very recommended.

Such a style of painting is really beautiful, and it is very unique and individual, but the plot is not so attractive to me. -2013.01.16 —— "The Secret of the Book of Kells" in my memory is an excellent animation work with beautiful pictures and religious but slightly obscure stories. After a lapse of 3 years, I revisited it and found that although the plot was not as moving/like as the later "Song of the Sea", it was still quite understandable. -2016.08.01

The art style is very good, the story is cliché, the religious fanaticism I can't stand the most...

  • Abbot Cellach: Pagans, Crom worshipers... It is with the strength of our walls that they will come to trust the strength of our faith.

  • Brendan: [Aisling saves Brendan by pushing a boulder; closing out the cave entrance of Crom Curach] Aisling!

[Brendan picks up the limp Aisling]

    Brendan: What was that?

Aisling: [frightened whisper] That was him... CROM.
