American TV Express, The Defenders Season 1

Ethyl 2021-12-19 08:01:21

Once upon a time, Marvel and DC have become synonymous with the "American superhero team". From Captain America to the Fantastic Four, from Superman to Wonder Woman, waves of extraordinary heroes have emerged on the big screen. The overwhelming "hero wave" allowed the audience to experience visual fatigue while clapping their hands and cheering.

I clicked sideways and chatted casually, and then entered today's film review. Selected work-The Defenders (League of Defenders), adapted from Marvel comics, tells the story of four superheroes (Dare Demon, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist) forming a "League of Defenders" confrontation The story of the evil villain defending peace. (Typical American hero theme, just take a look after a meal, kill the time, don’t take it too seriously)

To be honest, there is not much to watch about "superhero" films, so in the following pages, I will personally rewrite some of my thoughts on the play, with praise and criticism, and it is intended to open up the way and brainstorm. .
I. The advantage of the
group to form a group for warmth, you all know the name. As the "single-handed market" is getting worse and worse, superhero-themed works have shown a trend of "everyone picking up firewood and high flames". This game combines the four former "Single Fighters"-Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist to form the "League of Defenders" and continue the "Justice vs. Evil" Fight to maintain peace in New York.

II. Heroic Complex
"Personal heroism" is one of the essentials of the American spirit. Why can the works of Marvel and DC occupy the leading position in the American comic industry and animation market for a long time? Why can the live-action TV and movie versions of these works attract so many viewers? What's the reason? Advocating individual heroism. This is something in the bones. It has been fascinated since childhood, and inadvertently, it has become a habit and formed a qualitative. Just like the people of the country are full of "Zhuzhe" and "The Tao of Confucius and Mencius", they have already "formed" in subtle ways. Americans have deeply integrated "freedom" and "personal heroism" into their blood.

III.
There is no suspense in the rotten vulgar plot , "Positive Against Decisive", the same "fighting design", and the painstaking "special effect design". All these elements constitute the new Jigme drama "League of Defenders". To be more honest, this work is like a chicken rib (as the saying goes: food is tasteless, it is a pity to discard it). The work borrows the story clues of the four protagonists (with different story lines and series), assembled and assembled into this new drama. Although in the narrative, this work effectively spliced the plot lines of Daredevil and Iron Fist, and also filled part of the blank space between Luke Cage and Jessica Jones. feel. However, from the perspective of the overall plot, the "four-player one drama" is "obviously inferior to "one-player one drama". It is easy to do. Too much far-fetched will make the storyline seem fragmented and lose its original charm. I suggest you to the top six. Fast forward the episodes, and start directly from the penultimate episode, and then the fighting part of the last episode can also be skipped. In this way, the slow-moving, Xing San Shen San series will be condensed into the essence of about 2 hours ( Tension, excitement, sensation), that's enough!

IV. The uneven performance,
although I don't want to comment too much on the actors' acting skills, but in an attitude of being responsible to the fans, I would like to mention it a little bit.
As for the protagonist, Jessica Jones, played by Krysten Ritter, is still very eye-catching, and the expressions and movements are more entertaining;
as for the two who play Luke and Iron Fist, hehe, don’t mention it;
Daredevil, played by Charlie Cox , looks good The level of entry is good, but it is a pity that the details are obviously not enough. For example, as a blind person, if there is a sound, what is the first reaction? It's using ears to get close to the source of the sound! And how does Cox act in the play? He turned his head subconsciously, looked for it with his eyes, and revealed it directly.
On the villain side, except for Reid played by Sigourney Weaver, other characters (even the big villain Elektra) are not impressed and their acting skills are too general.
In terms of supporting roles, they are basically acting online, but it is a pity that the drama is limited and irrelevant.

V. The last suspense.
The final battle (the last scene)-Daredevil VS Elektra, and both lose out. Matt is rescued back to the monastery to recover from his wounds. Elektra's life and death are unknown (but from the perspective of the comics, it should be full of blood and resurrection ), the other three superheroes continue their lives (what should they do, why should they go).
The plot development to this point seems to have just started. The director used nearly 400 minutes of film length to tell a "not very flattering" and "half-crazy" story, and finally left a suspense to plan for the next season? ! I don't know what you want.

Write at the end. I haven't recommended American dramas for nearly a week. I resumed work today and I got out of work overtime. Although I was exhausted, it was worth it.

Director ★☆☆☆☆ (In terms of dividing into two parts, the watershed is before and after the formation of the "League of Defenders". Before, whether it is rhythm control or story guidance, it was considered medium; after that, it felt a little like "trolleybus." , Too random, bad reviews)
Actor ★★★☆☆ (whether it is a problem with the movie setting or the actor's own ability limitation, in short, it is more general)
plot ★★★☆☆ (the script is really not flattering, many clues are not at all Very good sorting and introduction)
Visual effects ★★★☆☆ (The "Marvel" works that are used to watching the big scenes, the presentation of this video is a little bit small)
Sound effects ★★★★★ (The most outstanding part of the show, It is suitable for both movement and quiet, full of charm, it is recommended to download the OST, directly on the headset)

Recommended crowd: Marvel loyal fans
