Waking up is worth it. I watched at least one of my favorite movie "Adam" in the past six months.
In order to explain why I love it the most, I have to elaborate on the plot.
Adam is a very sweet-looking young man (please allow me to be so mundane and have to talk about appearance first), he doesn't understand other people's feelings and intentions, it's not a question of emotional intelligence, but a disease. Because what people say may not be what they think, or what they say is just the gorgeous shell of their ideas, normal ordinary us often have this ability to peel off the shell, but Adam does not, he can only Understand the vernacular. In fact, I suddenly felt that the art of human speech is really great, and our ability to understand is really great. How many mountains have our minds crossed in order to show us the art of speaking when we spread and receive information.
Beth is a very sweet-looking young woman. She writes fairy tales. She is generous. She is Adam's neighbor and she cares that Adam likes Adam.
They slowly got together. Beth helped Adam begin to understand a little bit of people's feelings, and helped him learn the skills of normal communication and getting along. But in the end, Adam felt that Beth was part of him, because when she could help him find a house and a job, she turned around and left. Don't think Adam is the bad guy, he really thinks Beth is a part of him, but he's so real. Don't think Beth hates Adam, because she understands that Adam's love and love in Adam's world are not the same as the sweet words she wants in the world of normal people.
So it is possible that the most authentic expressions and feelings are more real than those based on little lies, sugar-coated cannonballs, all kinds of supply and demand, all kinds of sweet words, and you will too. Choose the latter. Because we are used to saying something to hide ourselves, we are used to being speculated, we are used to setting up treasure maps in communication, expecting to be responded and expected to be excavated.
I also thought, why Adam will be scorned by people who put so much on normal people and be called "Asperger's" autism, and then I will understand. Maybe our tolerance can only be released on the sick. Kind of sad really. Or maybe, Adam never hides his so-called "distortion", that's why he gains this kind of sincerity.
I also thought, maybe it's really that hard to get into someone's heart. Just like Adam's life is full of astrology and astronomy, he can read the flow of nebulae, but he can't read the expressions of people. The tracks are different.
At the beginning of the film, Beth said that her favorite story is that a prince came to earth from a distant planet and encountered a pilot who crashed in the desert. The little prince told a lot of love stories. Daddy Beth thought she was the little prince. But later, after Beth met Adam, he realized that he was actually the pilot.
Maybe we've all met or have met our own Adam, we've always felt like the little prince, telling stories, telling stories, but maybe there's no sound in the end, maybe it's stand-up comedy, anyway, open ending Behind the scenes, we became the pilot in that desert.
