A "Gorgeous Turn" From Documentary Horror to Romance Action (Spoilers Beware)

Spain finally waited until March 30 for the premiere of Dead Video 3. Because my girlfriend didn't dare to watch it, I picked a free Monday by myself, which is April 2nd at 6:35 pm local time, bought a medium portion of popcorn and Sprite and sat in the center of the empty theater. Corn pops while waiting for the movie to start (popcorn turns out to be salty, Spaniards, shit).
In fact, I knew from the preview before that there shouldn't be too many surprises. In addition, the previous sequels have been worse than each other, so I don't have much expectations. It's just the first time I've seen this series in theaters, and what I'm looking forward to is an effect. Coupled with the stunning approach of the first-person cameraman's perspective, just thinking about it, it would be super enjoyable in the theater.
The video starts, the screen suddenly blue screen, the upper left corner shows that the DVD is being read. Suddenly, I was a little surprised. How can this stupid movie theater use a DVD player to play movies? It's too unprofessional. After reading, the long-awaited first-person perspective begins. It was only at this time that I realized that it was a method to increase the audience's sense of substitution, which made people feel refreshed at once, and it seemed that they really started watching a wedding documentary video recorded by a family DV. I was a little surprised.
This time, it was the groom's cousin who took us to watch the movie. He took a DV player and passed through the wedding crowd in front of the church. From the shaking camera, we could see that the scene was very lively. The people present greeted each other, and the final shot was naturally given to one of the protagonists of the wedding, the groom. The two chatted for a while, and then there was another set of very natural live videos. After that, the perspective turned to the bride who was preparing to arrive at home. At this end, a little girl was taking pictures of the bride. The bride wanted to say something, but suddenly stopped.
So I went to the church, and finally the first infected person appeared, an old man whose hand was bitten by a dog, so the camera gave a close-up of the wound, which looked very beautifully bandaged. . At this time, we can see from the distance of the cousin's camera lens a puffy old lady in what appears to be pajamas, shaking like a loss, as if reminding the audience of the apartment in the first part. the first loss. Except for these two ominous signs, everything was so peaceful. My cousin didn't even forget the pretty girl who was there for sneak shots.
After the church took the oath, everyone came to a nearby hotel to revel. But at this time, the bitten old man started to have a seizure. He vomited blood and was in a daze. The sky began to darken. My cousin photographed a police car and an unidentified person wearing a protective suit outside the hotel.
The camera turned to the carnival crowd again. The old man finally died. He sat on the railing on the second floor.
The first small orgasm was finally aroused at the scene. The old man got up and bit the neck of the old lady who was helping him. Finally, the good show came.
At the same time, the plot began to scare the father. The old man's mouth was like a rallying call. Suddenly, many zombies came from nowhere, and rushed in to join in the fun as if he had made an appointment.
Then the groom and the bride parted without knowing how.
Then the camera took us, the hero, three or two men and a little girl, and ran to the hotel kitchen and locked the door just a second after the zombie swarm arrived in front of us, just like in the previous horror movies.
The screen went black, and the headline "rec3 génesis" was typed out at this time, and then a more embarrassing scene happened. The camera was abandoned by the cousin, and the documentary officially turned into a biohazard.
Next, except for a small camera for lighting in the pipeline, the lens was switched to the first person, and the rest became the third person!
The first-person narrative, the suspenseful atmosphere, the shaky footage, and the scene where the photographer blocked the camera lens with his hands in panic and anger and told the photographer to stop shooting, the essence of all these death video series is over. . .
So it should have surpassed the realism of other types of zombie films, which made the director live and destroyed, and this third-person momentary transition reminded the audience once again, "Dude, don't be afraid, why are all the crew driving the camera and holding the lighting. The equipment is in control of the audience, how about the blood plasma and the swollen face?"
So, I grabbed the middle portion of popcorn in my hand and ate it frantically, then took a sip of Sprite, and finally calmed down. I calmly thought about the 5 Euro ticket and the 4 pieces of 5 Sprite plus popcorn, rationally stabilized the buttocks, and then read on.
The group fled to the church, and along the way, the style began to "resent", and they stood there without warning. A loss flashed like an anti-mage and shouted, stimulating the audience's fragile hearts through the surround sound of the theater. . The IQ of the most disgusting bloated old woman in the whole film obviously proves her superior calmness and wisdom. She hid in the police car and greedily devoured the corpse. When the protagonist came over, she even played hide-and-seek. It wasn't until she got closer that a dazzling smile came over and over again, drawing the protagonist to her hand.
In fact, these shooting techniques exist in almost all horror films, so I don't think it should be too much to criticize the director for exaggerating and using such low-level thriller methods. The atmosphere is out of touch with the tension the whole film is trying to achieve, so it's understandable to have one or two "very abrupt" moments. The audience will also be reintroduced into the plot because of this.
But in the next plot, apart from this technique, there is no bridge or element that can make me feel fear.
The 7-day video of Midnight Bell, the bottomless black well, the closed space in Resident Evil 1, the horror mechanism, and even the first-person perspective of the first two death videos. The soul of these real horror films is here. I can't find it anywhere in the sequel.
Let's not talk about the soul for a while, after all, not every director is Hitchcock. With the mentality of watching the whole plot, he continued to stare at the sudden screams of loss again and again, and he bit the bullet.
Next, the screenwriter once again showed us his super ability to adapt to the scene. Looking at the filming technique of the poor director who insulted the audience's IQ, he had an idea, and Death Video 3 was officially transformed into a love action film.
As mentioned above, the groom and the bride were separated, so the groom put on ridiculous armor and brought a little wretched man to the hotel to save the bride. Seeing this, I actually thought of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza, so I guessed, is the plot really going to go on in the style of the absurd? Romantic comedy?
5 minutes later, the wretched man who followed the heavily armed male protagonist died without doing anything. As a result, his conjecture was rejected.
The next plot begins to parallelize the dynamics of the bride and groom, and the two begin to look for each other. At the same time, the "grudges" still dominate the thriller's main line, flashing from time to time to abuse the audience's vision and hearing. The bride also ripped off her wedding dress, and called Alice from Resident Evil 1, showing her sexy thighs, raising the chainsaw with her thin arms, and began to kill like a man.
In the end, true love brought the two together again. When the two were surrounded by zombies and were about to make a desperate marriage, the pastor began to read the Bible in the control room. The zombies suddenly gathered together Parkinson's, as if moved by true love, and stood there. The group stopped moving!
God, the earth. .
No, just at this critical juncture, the screenwriter spoke up, and the world premiere of Titanic 3D will be on April 4! Jack is dead, you two dare to leave!
So, just as the two were about to walk out of the gate of the hotel that had long been isolated, one and the priest, who had already walked through the back door, jumped out of the grass and bit the bride's hand.
The male protagonist was so angry, he chopped up the loss and muttered, "I told you to go through the back door! I told you to go through the back door!"
Later, although the groom chopped off the bride's hand, he naively thought that he could escape the disaster. However, as mentioned earlier, Big Brother Leon has died in love, and this small-budget production can no longer cut the film budget.
So, when they walked out of the hotel, the bride mutated, the groom was bitten, and the two fell to the sound of gunfire from the police who had been waiting outside the door. They struggled with their last strength, held each other's hands, and passed away happily. . . . . .
The film is over, just like that, a good horror film turned into a romance in the end.
The shocking and stimulating effect that Death Video 1 brought to me is lost in this film. The second film has taken a step back, from a loss film to a religious ghost film. I think the director may have tried his best to try to innovate. The tone of the whole film can be guessed when watching the trailer. There is a strong contrast between the bloody and terrifying scenes and the happy and beautiful wedding. If you change to an excellent director or screenwriter, I think it will definitely be an excellent effect, the beauty and blood, the screams and the sound of the sharp machete slicing on the meat, the unimaginable heavy taste of the corpse, the director seems to be obsessed with B-movies and Fans of the midnight show, maybe we can assume that he will make a good movie with a different theme, but I am sorry, in this series of films, such a shooting technique and the ending of the absurd and tearful love film is really sorry. Ticket prices and fans' expectations.

[REC] 3: Genesis quotes

  • Clara: Hoy es mi día.

  • Adrián: And what exactly are you dressed up as?

    John Esponja: As Sponge John.

Adrián: That would be Sponge Bob?

John Esponja: No. Well, you see, there was a copyright problem, and now the costume is called Sponge John. We are talking about a character that's got nothing to do with the one you're talking about. I don't want any trouble later on.
