touch the heart

I basically don’t write movie reviews. I always feel that watching a movie is a personal thing, just like everyone sees the world differently, so the feelings about the same movie must be different. Maybe a scene or a line activates a certain memory cell of yours, which touches your nerve, but others may not feel it. Therefore, after watching a movie, I always like to let the emotions settle in my heart and chew it for myself. But after watching samsara, I still have a desire to talk, and I feel that the film reflects a common emotion of human beings.
First of all, as a documentary, there is no dialogue in the whole piece. This is a technique that director Ron Fricke is good at, but it is a challenge for the audience, it is easy to be distracted, and it is difficult to meditate. I read the whole article three times in succession. The first half is a natural landscape, which is magnificent. The second half enters human society, including religion, politics, commerce, technology, agriculture, and aquaculture. . . every aspect of life. The entire film was shot across 25 countries and took five years to complete. Shot with 70mm film, the picture is very clear and beautiful. The director chose unique, amazing, and mysterious places in each culture, and used the camera to directly impact your vision, forcing people to think about life and society.
After reading it, people have to feel the insignificance of human beings, the respectability of nature and life. My heart will suddenly open up a lot. The trivial things in the center of life may seem a lot lighter.
It is recommended to be alone, find a quiet night, put on headphones, and enjoy quietly. A feast for the senses and the mind.
